So, what's your favorite pinball game?
I'd be hard pressed to name just a few -- so many good ones I've played over the years.....but I'd say that the two Star Trek ones rank up there very highly, as well as The Getaway.

If we're talking video pinball, Slam Tilt. It's freaking great. I think it's for Windows.
And for actual pinball machines, Revenge From Mars. God, that game is just priceless.

Your favorite video pinball game is already being discussed here:
http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43142
Perhaps the title of this topic should be changed to "Favorite arcade pinball game"
I've never played it, because I've never seen one in an arcade, but I have to vote for Roller Coaster Tycoon. I would love to own one of those machines, but I don't have a place to put it right now, even if I could afford it. I'm still hoping that I will own one someday though. I'd remove my bed from my room and sleep on the floor underneath it if I had to, that would be fine by me. I'm a roller coaster nut, so I must own one of those machines someday.

If I had the room, I'd NEED to have Medieval Madness and Revenge from Mars.
Actually, instead of changing the name to "Favorite Arcade Pinball Game", changing it to just "Favorite Pinball Machine" I think would do the trick.

Wow! Most of the pinball machines are still available right here in Yukon, OK. I just played Pinbot at lunch yesterday, and Fun House last weekend (love that little mannequin head!)
My favorites of all time were the Simpsons and Hot Pursuit. The burger joint that has Pinbot also has Barbwire as well. Man, all the little boys were playing it over and over just to stare at airbrushed Pamela Anderson cleavage ...

My two favorites:
Haunted House - Three play levels, plus it plays Bach's Fugure in D Minor as you play. Creepy fun.
Time Machine - As you score, you travel back in time! The game's music and sound effects reflect the era you're in. It's great when you hit the 50s, as there is a built in pinball "chime box" that goes into effect rather than the electronic beeps and whistles for sound effects! Great idea.

I always enjoyed the Star Wars Trilogy pinball game as well as Jurassic Park and T2: Judgement Day.
I guess I just have a soft spot for movie licensed pinball games. :)
I second Pinbot, and for some reason i really like the original KISS pinball machine. Maybe im just getting old, oh well.
Addams Family hands down !!! I vow to own it one day, but $3000 bucks is not in the budget right now. Maybe someday :(
Seconded. Down to a tee. ;)

Jack*Bot
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure
Medieval Madness
Theatre of Magic
Has anyone in this thread gone to California Extreme (http://www.caextreme.org)? It's pinball paradise.

I've always had a thing for Hook. My friend had it in his basement and I played it all the time I was there. All my other friends would play pool while I pounded away on Hook in the corner. Hell, I never learned how to even play pool becasue of that. :)

Addams Family, no contest. Best pinball game IMO. Terminator 2 and Star Wars Trilogy are also excellent, as well as Earthshaker.

Orbitor 1- a great pinball game. The game had no exit lanes; just a hole right below the the flippers. 2. Both Playboy machines. The older one had a "wolf" whistle when a dropped in a coing. 3. Atari's Video Pinball(but the 2600 version looks nothing like this cool arcade game 4. The Star Trek 25th Anniver. machine. 5. South Park- the adult verision is funny!! 6. World Cup 1994- a great soccer pinball game where you can pk vs the goal keeper. 7. Eight Ball Deluxe- was this 1st taking pinball game? I miss Williams pinball machines! 8. Earthshaker 9. Street Figher 2( I think that was the name 10. Another assorted Stern/Bally/Williams game that I don't the know the titles too.

I'd say ....
Goldeneye 007 : The Pinball Machine
The Trigger looks like a Walther PPK. Can't beat that!
Was also a fun pinball mahcine.

Twilight Zone and Creature from the Black Lagoon. But the real truth of it is that you can plop me in front of any 90's Williams or Bally Pin and I'll play it untill my hands bleed.

Jeez, that's hard to choose. Some of the best I've played:
Revenge from Mars - probably my all-time favorite with optical illusions and hysterical commentary
Medieval Madness - Wonderful theme, and it's so much fun smashing the ball into the castle then into the gate then the drawbridge!
Twilight Zone - the coolest back glass of all-time, with Serling in an old attic and with at least one piece of memorobilia from all the old episodes (i.e. Talky Tina, Marcia the mannequin, "To Serve Man" cookbook, etc)
Scared Stiff - I still have a crush on Elvira after all these years. The game rocked, too.
Fun House - a classic, plain and simple
Man, I miss the pinball machines of yesteryear!

Every year. I always go for the vids, but when I get there, I ultimately spend most of the time playing pinball. My favorite this past year was the Whirlwind with the industrial blower. It felt as if you stuck your head out a car window while driving on the freeway.

I'll second this. I almost replied "Whirlwind with custom fan from Hell" to this thread, but I went Fun House instead. Too bad it was set on one ball only.

When I was a child, I was fascinated with pinball machines. That was back in the late 70s/early 80s... I never played pinball back then, but I always kept that fascination alive.
My personal fave of all times (for some reason) is the World Cup 94 pinball table. I always loved it, but it's getting more and more difficult to find it. It was the only pinball game where I got a free play because of the score. Maybe it was the cute dog mascot of the 94 World Cup that made me fall in love with that table?

Tough one. It's gotta be a Williams table though. So many good ones... Firepower, Getaway, Pin*Bot, The Machine (Bride of Pin*Bot)...
But in the end, it's between Tales of the Arabian Nights and Funhouse.
Funhouse has the talking ventriloquist dummy head (Rudy) that mocks you. How can you not love that?
But Tales of the Arabian Nights has so many badass things in it that defy description... the Genie, the "story" angle, the jewels... and it's got a niftier skill shot dealie too.
I think I'll go with Arabian Nights. But second place is a multi-way tie.

Well I own a Addams Family Gold system, its a Classic. The objectives are a challege and after two years its still fun.
I was going to pick up Pinbot, but I wanted another Dot Matrix style machine so I picked up Dr. Who this year(err last year now). Let me say that this machine is way more diffecult then the Adams Family and I'm sure will continue to challenge me as I seem to either have a Great game or a TERRIBLE one.
I also think that Monster Bash and Fish Tales also rate high in my opinion. :D

Pinball Magic
Stargate
Capersville (1966)
Expo (1969)
I love Pinball Magic, better than Theater of Magic. Revenge is a hoot :D The two i don't have yet that i also like are Tales of Arabian Nights and Medevil Madness.

I loved to play The Who's Tommy at the snackbar, maybe not the greatest table, but it's really fun to play. Currently I sometimes play Pinbot, which is also great. Main problem is most plaes go for gambling machines these days so it's hard to find a place with a good pinball table. Oh I also sometimes play The Star Wars Episode I (Pinball 2000), but don't really like it beause I don't like Star Wars.

There are three games that come to my mind when thinking about pinball games.
When talking about real machines then my favoiurite is the Elvira pinball machine. You know the one from Elvira - Mistress Of Darkness movie. They had on in the bar I used to visit every weekend and it ate a lot of my change... If I remember right your tasks included shooting some monsters and it was also possible to play with four or five balls.
Then there are videogame pinball games. My all-time favourites are the two games on the Mega Drive: Dragon's Fury and Dragon's Revenge. I like the medieval / phantasy theme of the games and they had a lot of bonus screens. I also like Legend Of The Gator for the original Gameboy. It has some nice bonus screens and just plays very well. Too bad my card is not working anymore...
