I need some good games to pick up for the Neo Geo AES. Any reccomendations? Im really not looking for the hugely expensive 350+ carts, but the more common cheaper priced ones.

i also agree with samurai shodown, and occasionally on ebay you can snag some of the king of fighters games pretty cheap, they are awesome too. if you like platformers, get blues journey, i loved that game.

If you're looking for the games, and you don't mind load times, go with the cd system.

Well I dont own the cd system yet, so thats why I was inquireing into carts. :) And for load times, I would want the AES cart system to play on while I wait for the 3 hour load times. LOL

The high-replay games at my place are:

League Bowling
2020 Super Baseball
Sengoku 2
Samurai Shodown 1 + 2
Nam 1975
Magician Lord

Most of those can be had for pretty cheap, too.

dunno, i've found some of the sports titles to be pretty fun, especially baseball stars (pro or 2), league bowling, etc.

why not get yourself a phantom converter so you can play MVS carts? that will open the door to a LOT more games. stuff like the samurai showdowns/fatal furies/etc. go for $5-20 for MVS carts.

even things like the metal slugs that fluctuate at $75-100 for a loose cart are WAY cheaper than their AES cousins...i got MS1 for $75 with the artwork yesterday, which is MUCH more preferable than $1200+ for the AES cart, case and artwork be damned. LOL

Ill be buying a Phantom converter soon. I like the fact that games are alot cheaper on MVS than AES, but I needed a home console. I just love the boxes and huge nifty looking carts/boxes. When I can afford to buy a house(Prices are effing crazy in southern NH ATM)Ill have a gameroom with some cab's to play on. Best of both worlds with MVS/AES setups. And god I need some pinball machines too! :-P
