I like how the guy in the movie runs into the monster like 5 times before he's able to shoot it.

If that thing were reasonably priced I'd buy it. I like the concept and would use it.

I think that thing has alot of potential- I'd like to see the hand controller detach. Maybe even some mercury switches for tilt control.
Probably something you have to play to appreciate.

Hmmm, videos won't load here at work.
I'm waiting for the 8-way conveyor belt and VR helmet combo...that way, you really can think you are in a game walking around a 3d world.

YAY IMMARSEION!!1
OK, I'm not discounting this one out of hand as unworkable. I really doubt it'll play terribly well, though, and trying to strafe an enemy in a circle should be fun...

The FAQ addresses that. There are buttons hardcoded to change the forward motion into a strafe.

Forward motion into a strafe? How odd. Still sounds darn unnatural to me.

I've been playing games on the treadmill for years, works great. Play NES, SNES, Genesis, PS2, etc. with their controllers while running. Played through most of GTAIII and GTAVC while jogging/running :)
As for that FPS device though, even the sale price is crazy! It's waaay over priced for what it is. One could build something like that themselves for about $100, no more than $200. For as much as it costs to buy from that site, you could get a really really good treadmill!
