Title says it all. I've succumbed to the fact that I need a PS2 in my collection. I've already picked up Katamari Damacy and have a couple other games in mind.

My question is, should I wait for the PS Two or pick up a PS2? I can get a used PS2 locally for $119 with a 2 year comp usa warranty on it. Seems like a nice perk since it's pretty much guaranteed to develop DRE errors at some point. Or, do I hold off and get a brand new PS Two? I could even get a brand new PS2 right now as well, but I think I'd wait for the upgraded model.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

If I had no PS2 I would wait for PStwo. By the way I got my PS2 on release day and have had 0 problems with it.

Wait for it if you but the new one rather then used that you talked about you won't get a built in interent modem for free plus its smaller not so ugly and might not have so much problems like you people claim I have never had a problem with mine.

I have never seen one DRE in person ever. Dont worry about it, people are just bullshitting to make Sony sound worse.

Wait for the PStwo, I'm going to trade in my PS2 for it, so yeah.

If I didn't already have one I'd get the PStwo. And if you pre order it you'll get it in like 2 weeks, so you won't even have to wat that long.
