Hello everyone,
This morning a nice package arrived for me. Id bought Hajime No Ippo (GBA) and Zelda Four Swords (GC) from www.japanpa.com (top service, i strongly recommend them to anyone).
I was very happy with everything, Hajime No Ippo is brand new and came with some odd sort off book thing, which can hold 2 gba carts in it. Anyone know what this is??
And, Four Swords is excellent but, my freeloader cant seem to handle it, when it boots it up, all the colours are negative.. Anyone know what to do?
Joe. :)

About Four Swords... I'm not positive about this, but I believe you need to do something like press Z while the Freeloader is loading and you need to pick Japan as your region. That's all I can think of.

Youre right, i have a NTSC GC and need to use freeloader all the time with bein in a PAL Area, and buying pal games!... the freeloader does need Z to be pressed an a small submenu type thing pops up with 3 flags on... select Japan...
you most likely need to do this as freeloader just automatically picks regions and could be picking a different one....
Have fun!

Hajime no Ippo for 12€? That's an insane deal for a great game, get one while you can! How did they pack them, were the game boxes crushed?
Oh, and that "book" was bundled with the first shipment of the game.

What version of Freeloader you running (check on the inside of the disc itself)? I believe some of Nintendo's more recent efforts are evading working properly with it.
You really need an RGB cable anyhows to get the most out of importing on the Cube...
Or just sod it like me and just import all your consoles and games for the last 13 years! No worries then :P
With imports from places such as VG+, Playasia, DVDBO and LikSang being far cheaper than buying PAL as well, it's pretty stupid most of the time to wait...

Thanks everyone, Its "Freeloader Version 1.0"..
Im thinking about importing a LTD ED Gamecube anyway.. I really like the mint green Tales of Symphonia one..
Hajime No Ippo arrived in perfect condition and i love the free "book".. But, Zelda was a bit beaten up.. Im still very happy with the service and im defintley gonna use them again in the near future..

If you do go down that route, get a switched model from LikSang (where I got mine from) or somewhere similar. Sure you need to run separate memory cards for Japanese and US games, but that's a minor inconvenience. Just get a 1019 for each, and you're set ;)
Been very happy with mine since getting it almost 3 years ago... and a collection of almost 75 games to boot. No Freeloader worry crap, just pop in the disc you want and go! You just need a TV that handles NTSC 60Hz, OR one of those lovely modified RGB cables (as NTSC Cubes don't output RGB by default).
