That's awesome. Looks like you physically control the flight motions.

Gonna have to invest in an EyeToy... 8-)

That looks to be the only reason that would make me buy an EyeToy. And maybe to try out DDR Extreme with the thing =P

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

And the biggest letdown topic today goes THIS ONE!

No, not because I don't like the idea. but I read the topic title and my eyes opened SO WIDE in anticipation for news of an official release of a new Nights games. Then, I get a minigame for the eyetoy!

God, kill me now. :(

Hey, at least it's not a card game. *shrug*

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!

Biggest relief topic today!

I was scared that they had finally decided to piss on NiGHTs legacy by cashing in with some crappy new sequel (only last week it was among the titles allegedly being whored out to other developers), but instead it's just a EyeToy mini game.

Phew!

;)

Oh, I have the most expensive/best non-hard pad you can buy, and it rocks. I also already have the game...

I'm all for this. The eyetoy is one of those novelties that has real potential to grab folks who aren't really into games. I'd always jump at any chance for another go at Nights - even the GBA mini-version.

Looks good. Let's just keep the cheesy '80s guitar rock to a minimum, okay?

I got my hopes up that this was a rerelease of the game on some kind of compilation. Should've known better.

Typical! Just after I sell my PS2 cos there's nothing to play on it this comes out! That's what I get, I suppose, for not hoarding everything I buy (which I normally do).

I'm still hoping and praying Sega make a DS version of NiGHTS. It'd be too cool playing the original game but with the stylus to control rather than an analogue stick, it'd make the movement just as fluid as the rest of the game...*crosses legs and starts on a creative visualisation exercise*

Ok, ok so it's not exactly NiGHTS as we know it but it looks like it might be worth playing and look at how crisp that image is too. I'm thinking Sega SuperStars will be a nice addition to the Eyetoy library.

I'm going to keep my eye on this one for sure.

i was hoping they were going to rerelease nights or something cool like that. you know there won't be a sequel. hell, look how long it took toe jam and earl and panzer dragoon to get them and those games have been out for awhile. i guess this is the best i can get, but it would be super killer kicky awesome to see a rerelease of nights with bumped up graphics.

My friend said he hooked his video camera into his ps2 through the USB port, and some other stuff. He said he got it to work like an eyetoy and now he didn't need to buy one :eek 2:
Is this legit? If so, some people here could save themselves a bit of money.

Yeah, I'm still hoping that someday someone would be bright enough to release Nights and Christmas Nights on the consoles or PC. You'd think it would be a no-brainer; make it just like Sonic Jam on the Saturn, complete with a wealth of multimedia extras. Not bloody likely to happen, but one can dream.

Why? The Saturn originals are pretty cheap, and nothing is ever quite the same when it's on non-native hardware.

I still have to get the original NiGHTs. I'm not too big on Eye Toy gimmicks, nor do I like to do a lot of moving while gaming, so I doubt I'll get this. Looks like a cool concept though.

The official Sega SuperStars website has a movie of NiGHTS in action and the other games too.

http://www.segasuperstars.com/eng/base.html

That's NiGHTS!
The only thing missing in the NiGHTS movie was the ability to do loops!

The same reason why old records and 8-track tapes return on CD. Hardly anyone has a Saturn today, as opposed to the millions who have PS2, Xbox or Gamecube. A Nights re-release would be pretty successful, and this business needs to treat its history better than it does.
