i am going to go out, buy a tickle-me-elmo, and light it on fire in a walmart parking lot just to prove a point: think about x-mas. I don't want to start a huge debate about it (we can in another thread if you want), but i highly doubt that if jesus died for us, that he wants us to go out and buy consumer items thanksgiving weekend and get all crazy with other people.

Isn't it funny how they use the Wise Men bringing gifts as a reason to come up with a consumer feeding frenzy? And where does the fat man in a red suit have to do with anything? I'm confused.

If you read the bible the wise men where no wise men at all, they where assasins sent by the king to kill jesus and when the angel apreared before them gave to jesus and fleed to the desert to escape the rath of the king.
Santa Clause is a name that is play on words from the actualy name of the Saint of Children who is actually the Saint of Pawn Brokers as well. So maybe Santa is more like Robin Hood. He buys up all the toys at the pawn shop and gives them out at christmas...lol...
