well ive jsut been sorting out all my game boxes in the attic and came accross various things i had bought over the years which i had for got about...

Such as a Complete Boxed ZX Specturm, CIB U-Force for NES, an Atari 65XE and Jungle Hunt Cart, a Amstrad GX4000, the Tetris Music Cd SIngle "Doctor Spin" and my Amiga Collection from when i was a kid!

But this is what captured my attention most, and is now happily sitting on my shelf of favourites...

I found 5 game gears games when searching through stuff one day. Sucks that I sold my game gear at a garage sale when I was younger. One game worth mentioning out of the 5 was shining force.

i am always finding games i forgot that i owned. well, not so much anymore, as i now have a complete list of everything i own up on ign, but when i was starting the list, i ran into this alot. i actually found a copy of mortal kombat: mythologies for n64 a week or 2 back. granted, the game sucks and now i have 2 copies, but it was cool to actually find a game i didn't know i had

Ghosts 'n Goblins, rather :D.

Anyhow, the only game I know I had forgotten at one time was a loose SMB/DH cart. I'd been saying that "I haven't bought any classic Mario games" but then I'd bought that cartridge. Lol.

Also, I want to pick up some Spectrum games. Some good stuff came out for that machine. Not the best ever, but still darn good.

Not too long ago I was at a thrift store and ran across a Donkey Kong Jr. cart for the 2600. I got really excited because I've always wanted this game! When I got home and went to put this game on my shelf, I noticed that I already had it. I guess I just forgot. What's worse is, I did it AGAIN with the same game, I got fooled by the non-white case and the different label so I forgot I had it (again). So now I have three of them.

LOL My mistake. Or rather capcom's for changing the series name for every other system.

I usually have the opposite problem, I think that I already own games that I don't own yet. I see something that catches my eye on ebay, check my archives, and freak out because I don't have it yet. Sometimes I luck out and get to breathe a sigh of relief because I do have it already, but more often than not I find myself wondering how I'm still missing so many games.

Yeah, there's a reason I like calling it Makaimura LOL

Certain ports of the games have apostrophes in different places - I believe one of the ZX Spectrum ports has 'n' with two apostrophes in the Ghosts 'n Goblins, while most versions have 'n, and I think one has n' @_@

Silly little things are the spice of life! Or, at least, the devil's in the details.

I picked up panzer dragoon saga on ebay for like $35 shipped. 2 years later I wanted to play it so bad I almost bought it in a lot for 2-3 times as much. Then, thinking it was a dream, I said "I could have SWORN I bought one of these rare saturn games once on a good deal...maybe it was this one after all? N'ahh, couldn't have been. Which one was it?"

Went up stairs, dug around for a while, lo and behold. PDS complete and minty, just sitting there....

Forgot I had Defender 2000 for the Jaguar. It was on my inventory spreadsheet, but I couldn't recall ever having bought it. So I assumed that this entry was one I forgot to delete when I built my inventory on a copy from another board member. Turns out I had the game after all

I like to forget magazines. I exchange them at a second-hand bookshop and at home I realize I own at least half of them. I guess it's time to make an inventory list of mags, too. :/

I was planning on doing an "audit" of sorts of my 200+ Saturn games... I've gotten some more games recently... mostly sports games and dupes that I was going to change out with the ratty games with broken boxes (you know how those big Saturn cases get.) Games I swore I had are not on my list, so either I'm building up my collection more than I thought or I have some serious dupes. Either was, I'm not to far from the complete Saturn collection.

:D

I'm not very organized.

I sold all my systems and games back in 1996 -- or at least I thought I did. But a few years ago, I realized that I had not sold Cool Spot (Genesis). So when I bought a used Genesis console this year, I had something to play right away...

I found Mario Kart 64 in my cabinet one day. I ended up trading it in, I've never owned an N64 and I've never bought N64 games..... Don't know anyone who keeps one anymore.

Helped add to my DC Collection, muahaha.

PDS must have some sort of hiding syndrome - every once in a while i page past it in my games binder but i never remember to play it.

For the past few years I had sworn I sold a complete boxed copy of Snoopy's Magic Show for the Gameboy at a garage sale, along with other "I don't know what I was thinking when I sold them" titles, like Yoshi, a complete Mario Paint and a complete Super Scope. But I was cleaning out the attic a few months ago and opened a box, and lo and behold, Snoopy was right on top grinning at me! Being a huge Peanuts fan, I'm glad to have it back in my collection.

PDA! Its a colectors best friend. So far I have only had this happen to me once. DDR Kmix for the PS1. I knew I had it, but I couldnt find it. I finaly decided it must have been thrown away as I had searched my bedroom, office, bathroom, kitchen, and every single room I thought it could be. Couldnt be found. 3 weeks after I buy the second copy, I gave the original to a friend. He enjoys it but agrees there realy isnt much dancing to it. The rest of the time I buy multi of a game its because its a game I know and love. Something I consider a jem worth holding on to new and open alike.
