I believe it was called dark legions anyways. It was a tactics/strategy style game, but you controlled the characters during the one on one battles. American Dungeons and Dragons-style characters.
By FAR one of (if not THE) greatest games I've ever played on a PC, it runs like crap now and did have a couple issues even back then with controller use.
Anyways, was there EVER a sequel to this game, or any other games that were VERY similar to it?

I've never played the other 2 games they list, but they're both over 10 years old as well...

Hell yes, I remember Dark Legions!
It's one of my favorite PC games of all time. I absolutely love the voice clips from all of the different characters, I remember thinking it was amazing at the time. It was also the first PC game that I ever bought, so that might have something to do with why I like it so much. Ahhhhh, nostalgia. :D

I have an original copy of this game sitting in my basement... although frankly, I only played it a couple of times before getting bored of it. The game isn't bad, but in my opinion, Archon did a much better job of this style of game almost a decade earlier.
If you haven't already tried Archon or Archon II, You owe it to yourself to do so. I think both were available for all the 8-bit computers of the time (Apple II, C64 and Atari)... but the original also managed to get a release on the NES.
