Good, the new issue is out, I've been waiting for it! The photographer told me that I was going to be in it, I hope I actually am.

You mean the "Anyone else smell bongwater?" caption? Yeah, that's me on the right. But to be honest, I was more offended when the photographer told Carrie (I think that's her name, from the Messiah booth) to get out of the next shot she took, to make the shot "more believable." That's what annoyed me. :angry:

That's pretty bad if they told her that.
Actually, I was referring to the caption that said, "He's all yours ladies."

Well, you see, they must be insulting in their photo captions. Else, how will people know they're "cool," "with it," and "above it all?" That's "l33t m4g 3ditt1ng 101" folks! The writer has to make that community college degree count!

I don't know about you, but I choose my life, and my silly close cropped haircut for this shot.
Best thing about this issue magazine of the magazine: Very little. Most of the mag is a rehash even at the time of printing. Covering the CGE2004 was nice. Thanks for that, even with the slam captioning. And the fact I got this issue for free.
Worst thing about this issue magazine of the magazine: The continual advertising thinly veiled as articles. Worse even than Popular Science. Plus the fact the Opie and Anthony kneel down to Sync Mag's Tool on the last page.
Guees I won't be subscribing just yet. Perhaps my next life, or theirs
BTW, The image quality(color balance) is the same as shown here. Robyn Twomey (photographer) could have used some professional equipment. Or maybe Sync should have hired differently.
Does anyone have Steven Russel's (writer) email address? perhaps a few people can let him know their opinions. Or maybe the magazine itself was responsible for the captions.

Interesting. The mag is published by Ziff Davis.
Ziff Davis publishes 10 magazines, all geared towards men and technology.
5 of those magazines are completely game related:
EGM
XBox Nation
Official Playstation Magazine
GMR
Computer Gaming World
You think they would have thought twice before insulting their major target demographic.
I didn't even notice the "People With Lives" caption when I read the original article.
I too find it difficult to understand why they would insult their target market.
It's like magazines in general that insult their readers on the Letters page with some smart-assed reply. Go figure.
