What are the Games/System that you got "Hand Me Downed" from you brother, sister, mom, relatives?

Hand me downs are great since their free and even if you got the stuff it is still a very good gesture to take their things LOL

From what I know I have gotten

Game Gear w/ games,rechargable pack,mag. lens,ac,car adapter (brother)
Sega Saturn w/ 2 games, 2 controller, hookups (mother's boyfriend...don't ask)
Gameboy w/ nintendo case, games (same brother)
Dreamcast w/ hookups,vmu,nfl 2k1,2 controllers (Cousin)
Genesis w/ 3 games,hookups,no controllers (aunt & little cousin)
SNES w/ games, hookups, controllers (other cousin)

So I guess you can call me the "The Hand Me Down" @_@

As a matter of fact, my first cartridge system (and still my favorite) was a hand-me-down of sorts. My uncle gave us the Odyssey2 in exchange for a piece from my dad's liquor decanter collection. My dad wasn't eager to trade off that particular piece, but my mom was, if it saved her from having to throw five bucks at me to play Pac-Man every time we went to the store. LOL

I still had that same O2 console until a tornado hit my apartment in '96. I had to find a new console - but I still have the same joysticks. And I still have the games he gave us with the machine too - the ubiquitous Speedway 3-in-1, Baseball and Computer Golf. And in anticipation of getting the O2, my mom had already snuck out and picked up Math-A-Magic and UFO brand new.

Life was good. :)

before i was born, my parents had an Odyssey 2 and a bunch of games....needless to say, once i started collecting, that came right out of the basement and right into my collection

all the other stuff i either bought for myself or was purchased for me as a gift

Alright, alright i'll actually answer your question on this post. LOL The only game i ever got for free from a family member was a complete Johnny Bazookatone for the saturn. Everything else i needed to buy myself. Oh and to sound totally un PC here for a second, that was some divorce their!! Getting a free saturn out of the deal, nice. Atleast they got back together though.

Most of my hand-me-downs have come from an old high-school pal who has been kind enough to hook me uo with quite a few of his old systems over the last few years. First was his Genny, then his PSX when he got a PS2. When his PS2 "died" he bought another one and gave me the old one in case I could fix it (which I did :D ).

The son of my wife's secretary was something of an at-risk youth once. So I I took him under my wing and taught how to build and troubleshoot PC's stuff like that. One day, feeling like he owed me something (which he didn't, of course) he came over and dropped off a six-switch Telegames 2600 clone. That was pretty nice.

Altairboy from the board here was also gracious enough to get me going with an Atari ST although I haven't done much with it yet owing to space considerations. If I ever get my Rooma Dooma organized the ST will occupy a special place of honor.

I've also been gifted with a second Genesis and an SNES from co-workers who "knew I liked that old game stuff and it was just laying in the attic...so here you go". Remember, folks, it never hurts to let people know you collect. Sometimes it even pays.

3 NES 9 controllers 3 guns 4 sets of wires 5 power supplies and about 40 games i got from Aunts and Uncles.
Complete ColecoVision with Donkey Kong, Zaxxon and Mouse trap and sealed Marble Madness and Captain Skyhawk(both NES) from my stepdad when i found them in a closet.(didnt ask just took it, he doesnt know where it came from either LOL)
Alot of my other stuff was either gifts or hand me downs. Almost all of my PS, PS2, SNES and handheld stuff were hand me downs/gifts too.

I think I need a clarification of the term you are using. Hand me down. Do you mean systems people have given one that they owned and played? Or does systems given as gifts that have never been played at all count as well?

If it is the first, then I am out of luck.

If the second definition is the intended goal, then the following would apply.
Atari 2600. It was given to me as a 7th brithday gift back in 82. Every other system I have got I bought myself or traded from a friend. I need more rich relatives who are genrious and non-alcoholic.

If you include systems you traded for where you either gave little or were asked for only a percentage of the actual value of the system then thats a different story. (and I doubt thats what your after)

The Atari 2600 I still have was originally purchased by my parents.

I bought my first Commodore 64 from my uncle.

One of my NES's used to be my wife's until we moved in together and I took it.

When I helped my wife's cousin one time he gave me a Saturn that he found in a closet. I guess it had belonged to a former roommate, and so I laid my filthy hands on it.

Tons of stuff...most of my SNES, and a good number of my NES and atari collections are hand me downs. As in, no one else in the family gave a crap if I took em.

My VCS belonged to my parents before I was born.

Other than that, I'm the Hand-downer.. but I keep everything, so no one under me gets anything from me. :P

Pretty good deal, but that still doesn't compare to me scoring a free panzer dragoon saga the same way. :D

My grandmother gave me my cousin's Atari 2600 and a poopload of games that he left at her house and didn't want anymore.

My brother gave me his Playstation when he got a PS2.

My wife is the queen of hand-me-downs though. Her well-off cousins would get every new console that came out and then give her their last one. She got a pong unit, an Atari 2600, a Colecovision, a NES and maybe others.
