so heres the thing. im going to be startin this weekly column at my site...toocubed.com ...ever week there will be a new mini review of a classic game that deserves to be recognized...these will be to inform classic gamers that there was in fact games before Halo...you know the kinda people...

these have to be games that revolutionized the way people thought of games, and to this day still inspire gamers, and game creators a like

obviously i have started work on the Zelda series and Mario series...

i think this will be a great way to inform people of how games today came to be, and i think itll be a fun little project

so what games would you want to see mini reviews of?

note: there will be no actual review/scores for these games...this is mearly to inform the masses of games they probably havent even tried, and to get more people interested in classic gaming

Looks like everybody's got the NES pretty well covered, so here are some non-NES suggestions.

Arcade-wise, don't forget about Donkey Kong, DK Jr. and Mario Bros. Radarscope might be worth mentioning, although it's just a so-so game.

The Game & Watch series is always an interesting topic when discussing Nintendo history.

And don't forget the Game Boy! Tetris, Mario's Picross, the Mario/Wario games, and Metroid II are good ones. Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge is my personal favorite, although it's by Konami and not Nintendo.

I could play Tetris for hours.

Kickle Cubicle (http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/nes/01/kickle.html)

Tiger-Heli (http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/nes/01/tigerheli.html)
Dragon Warrior (http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/nes/01/dwarrior1.html)

Oh! Of course I couldn't leave without plugging THIS ONE (http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/nes/01/bcomando.html) to death... Again.

All of the popular classics have been mentioned countless times in this thread. Let me suggest some of the rare and obscure greats.

Qix -Phenominal mind game
Puzzinc -same
Pyramid -AVE- An awsome tetris clone except this time it has triangles, graphics on par with tengen tetris and rocking music too. If you haven't tried this then you owe it to yourself.

Micro Machines
Treasure Island Dizzy series
Linus Space head
RC Pro Am 1 and 2
Snow Bros
Bubble bobble Series
Magician
Bonk
Pac Mania
Super Sprint
Treasure Master

And Kudos for Fester's Quest. That is one of my favorite games along with Pyramid

HAAHAAHAHA
well its no air raid, or even chase the chuck wagon, or panzer dragoon saga, but GL finding one for under 15-20....i paid 24 for mine without blinking, but i got 7 for the box dragging it down to 17..then again i got it in person and i had $455 of store credit to burn in the space of four and a half hours 8-)
But i'd say for damn good games:
Punch out!!!, Contra, Gradius, Tengen Tetris, seicross...
games that are lesser known:
Fire N Ice, Kickle Cubicle, Thunder N Lightning....
Personally i always thought bucky o hare was pretty damn cool*ducks*
Maniac mansion too.

Don't forget to add:

Final Fantasy-NES
Final Fantasy II(IV)-SNES
Final Fantasy III(VI)-SNES

Some people just don't realize that there were good Final Fantasy games before VII.
