I'm doing a new feature for my site that celebrates scary or horror-like games on the Genesis (just in time for Halloween!). I can only think of the following though:

- Splatterhouse series
- Dark Castle
- Castlevania Bloodlines

Are there any I'm missing? I know the Genny isn't renowned for its scary games but there has to be more than this!

Dracula, Dracula Unleashed, both CD. Never played Unleashed, but the one based off the movie sucked.

Decap Attack isn't scary, but it could still work.

Fatal Labyrinth pops up in my head too. It's not 100% horror, but there is that suprise element that could work.

Let's see:
The Haunting starring Polterguy...
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Bram Stoker's Dracula (was released in both cart and Sega CD forms)
Mary Shelly's Frankenstein (based on the crappy movie starring DeNiro as the monster :eek 2: )
Splatterhouse series, which you got listed...
Castlevania, ditto....
Mr. Bones? Nope, that was a Saturn release...

Hmmm... I'm dry. Next?

EDIT: Oh - CORPSE KILLER for Sega CD! Yup, cheesy dialogue and acting, but it's a freakin' ZOMBIE SHOOTER! I loved, loved, loved this game and need to get a Sega CD or 3DO again just so I can play it.

Ok, this seems like a decent list of games to play on Halloween:

- Decap Attack
- Splatterhouse series
- Haunting Starring Polterguy
- Castlevania Bloodlines
- Zombies Ate My Neighbors

I could mention the Dracula and Frankenstein games in passing (are you really going to track these down for Halloween? LOL ) and maybe even Corpse Killer.

Thanks guys!

I'm glad that you included The Immortal too, I was gonna suggest that one.

Nice feature!

You'd better not forget "The Immortal", one of my favourites, too bad nintendo left all the gore out on the nes version. :(

The only thing scary about Dark Castle is that EA actually bothered to publish it.
