That Vectrex "Buzz"

I know it has probably been discussed a million times.

I have noticed the buzzing noise from my vectrex has increased over the years. Has anyone ever proposed a method of decreasing this strange noise?

My system is very loud now. I would like to entertain any methods of making the beast quiet.

come on man thats part of the vec's magic...but seriously the real vec experts hang at the newsgroup rec.games.vectrex. you'll find sages there who could rebuild a vec in the dark.

Nevermind. I found an FAQ with a solution, but it looks too complicated to me. I don't want to open up my vectrex and mess something up. So I will just live with that "charming" loud buzz.
