One of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45101&item=3845669036&rd=1

$600 is cost, and I think I can get one at cost (maybe a little more). I kinda have the money (it had another purpose, specifically a MVS cabinet) and I definately have the room.

If you haven't seen it in person, it's very impressive.

Please help me decide to make the plunge or not!

I personally wouldn't buy it, but to be fair, I don't really like Halo. Even if I did though, I don't think I would plunk down $600 bucks for it. I'd rather upgrade my surround sound system or maybe buy a Panesian. That display has got to be big and bulky and the only place it would fit in my apartment is on my balcony (which would probably scare the shit out of my neighbors).

No way. It's just a giant action figure. Go for the MVS, it will provide more fun.

Why not buy 2 ebay one and with the profit you could have both for almost nothing! 8-)

Full sized?

39 inches?

Master Chief is a little shorter than I figured. I can see Halo 3 revolving around Gargamel's imprisonment of the master chief...

Buy Red vs. Blue instead.

In all fairness, it is for charity, so the $600 bucks isn't going straight to GameSpot

no...i wouldnt pay that much for it....but, if i had a lot of money, i would....it is for charity.....plus, you would be getting something for your donation (but, even still the giving is the most important part with something like that)

It is well worth it just for resale value. You see how much they go for on ebay! You could buy one and then get a 3 MVS cabs. I guess this once again depends on whether your a gamer or collector.

I just realized that the auction is for the smaller version making it's price more interesting (though it is for charity) @_@

The one I'm referring to is quite a bit taller than me making it about 6+ feet tall. Same style though, Master Chief climbing over rocks, hunched over, carrying two guns, only much much larger than the one in the auction.

Yea I would definatly buy it. You could easily get 3 grand for it. But if you want to save it that would be awsome to have on display.

Why do they have to make A lifesize statue of a sucky character with no personality / face like Master Chef? I'd rather have a lifesize statue of one of the DoA girls :-P .

Sakai is truly the man. He won the ultimate Iron Chef battle too.

I would not pay that much for it. But apparently someone is willing to pay much more. The bid was up to 3,000 when i looked.

I highly doubt that on so many levels. That thing was proffesionaly made and probably made by a machine.

$1000 with one day to go...might end substantially higher than that, but don't hold your breath.

Love the use of "Xboxs" in the thread.

That thing is alright, but not as shiny/solid looking as I'd like.

My answer...no, I wouldn't buy it, but if I got it for free I'd keep it for sure.

I think it would be hillarious to get a life-sized Samus and a life size Master Chief and put them back-to-back.

I'm really surprised at how few people would pick it up to keep it vs. how many people would pick it up just to sell it on eBay it. It seems to me like something the Xbox fans would love to have! It it were Pitfall Harry or the Commodore logo I'd have it surgically implanted onto my back with stem cells and hire a custom tailor to figure out the rest.

I don't. I've seen what the students do at my school and I think they could easily do something like that (although I doubt they would).

I aslo say go for it if you're a fan and you can afford it. I think it would be a cool peice to add to a game room
