Just got a neat nintendo item really cheap. according to the seller:

This is a vest that Nintendo provided to Toys R Us during Christmas season of 1993. TRU would hire a couple of people just to answer peoples questions about video games. These people had to wear this vest while working.

Can anyone that used to work for TRU confirm this?

I was a little skeptical, but now that I've recieved it it seems to check out. The vests were made in Seattle, and the label has the nintendo copyright on it. The baby footprints on the shirt seem to indicate that It has come from Toys R us as well. The seller was pretty cool, and included a Donkey Kong pin that was presumably given to the Employee who wore the vest. It has a serial number and everything. Overall not a bad buy for a dollar :) .

Smells like kong to me. LOL Anyways anuff dicking around, neat find you got their. For a doller i would pick one up in a heartbeat.

I would assume that it was really from Toys "R" Us. I worked at TRU from 1994 thru 1998. I wore a vest for a holiday season ( I believe it was in 1995). The vest I wore however was a cool black and red Virtua Boy one and came with a hat.

I worked at Toys "R" us from October 1993 till July 1994 in 1993 christmas season they wore blue vest and asked shoppers some quizzes questions etc and they were always in the video game department ...

Cool, seems like it checks out. I wouldn't doubt that different colored vests were made. I don't think I would wear it out in public but if I ever open a retero videogaming store I'm set LOL .

believe me it doesn't happen to me often, if at all. This it the first deal I've gotten in a LONG time.
