I like Final Fantasy 7 as much as the next guy, but the graphics in the game are just to dull. I wanted to know if there are any other RPG's for the Playstation that resemble the Lunar series's Colorful cheery graphics. I don't want 3D games either just some simple colorful 2D graphics.
You're help will be greatly appreciated.

Suikoden and Suikoden II (the latter is very expensive however) Breath of Fire III and IV (the former is pretty boring though), Beyond the Beyond (I've heard it's pretty bad), Tales of Destiny and Tales of Destiny II as well as Star Ocean: The Second Story all use 2D sprites (not 100 % of the time though).

I can't recommend Tales of Destiny 2 enough. As good as Tales of Symphonia is, it doesn't come cloes to matching ToD2.
Valkyrie Profile uses some of the most beautiful handdrawn art I've ever seen in a game, but most of it isn't very cheery, since your basic task is to collect dead people's souls.
Grandia is a good game to check out. I found it pretty similar to the Lunar series in some ways.

Honestly though if you loved Lunar you should try out Grandia since it's also develoiped by GameArts and is a great game in it's own right. Wild Arms may also be right up your alley, it's essentially a 16bit game with a 32bit storyline.
And everyone should play Alundra.
Valkyrie Profile and SaGa Frontier 2 are two of the best looking 2D games I've ever played, but Frontier's unbelievably boring while Valkyrie Profile is excellent but expensive.
Edit: Probably not a complete list but it's a good start.

Ah, Valkyrie Profile. The one game where it isn't a spoiler to say everyone in your party dies.

Ooooooooh Rhapsody, yes!!!
Very cute, both storywise and graphically. Rather easy, but still fun.

Don't forget the remakes of the older Final Fantasy games for the PlayStation -- those are all 2D games. Final Fantasy Orgins, Anthology, and Collection. Plus you get Chrono Trigger in there as well.

Suikoden 1 & 2 are two of the greatest RPG's ever. I can't recommend them enough. Too bad about #2's weak translation though.

I found BoF 3 to be a awesome game with a great story.

Yeah Rhapsody's a great game but certainly not for everyone. Since it's so expensive on eBay I'd recommend downloading Madou Monogatri (t-sfc) first and if you can stomach the "cuteness" then chances are you'd also like Rhapsody.

Well, they both came from Game Arts, so they probably had some of the same staff working on them. :) (Working Designs only did the localization on Lunar)
Grandia is a great game, aside from having some of the worst voice acting this side of Resident Evil LOL

Regardless... Alundra is a similar gameplay experience. Only better because you know the story's good,
