Just wondering if anybody knows if any console(xbox,GC,PS2) will drop in price soon. My sister is planning on buying me a Xbox for Xmas, but I don't want her to get it now if it will drop in price before the holidays.

as far as I know, no chance this X-mas...Sony wont budge after just releasing their new PSTwo and Xbox has a holiday bundle ready soon and Cube dropped prices on their popular titles recently...

I don't think you will see a cube price drop anytime soon. They are already at like 80 bucks online. PSP will be in discount bins soon enough.

Nah, the N-Gage will be in the discount bins before that.

However, knowing Nokia, the scary thing is that could be wrong. LOL

Anyways, I doubt any of the consoles will see a price drop until sometime next year. I don't think any company is concerned enough about how they'll fare this holiday season to drop prices.

Consoles rarely drop before Christmas, it's always at least after, since they can usually sell them for more during the holiday when there's more demand. After the holidays, people aren't keen on spending nearly as much money, so they drop them.

You got that right. Two days after Christmas (in 99 or 00) I bought a Dream Cast for almost $200 brand new. The next week my little brother came to me and showed me a Best Buy sale paper that had a DC in there with 3 games, a extra controler, and a VMU card for like $150. Talking about being pissed.

I thought there where already special packages where you could get Ngage for under like 50 bucks if you signed up with a cell phone package or something.

Also i doubt the prices will drop any more for X-mas. All that is going to happen is packaged deals i think.
