I recently got an ODESSEY 2 ( Loose Version ) at a Flea MArket.

It came with everything... but on the back, where the RF Cord and connector extend from..it ends in a weird type of plug... since I don't have the unti with me ATM (Over my friends...) I'll provide a sample pic I drew in Paint...

The Top has a Pin Extending..on a Flat connector..... I've never seen a RF connector like this... my first impression is that it is broken possibly? Or... is that just the type of connector it is? What are my options to make it compatible with a regualr RF kinda 'RCA' style plug you USUALLY see?

i think it's some sort of proprietary unit.
I say " i think" because mine is not that way. mine was modified for standard RF before it was sold to me by a board member(whose name i choose not to mention so he does not get hounded with modification requests ;))

You need a special RF switch. They are beigeish yellow. Old style only. Some pong systems use a switch like the Odyssey 2. Most notably, Odyssey pong systems.

It is a proprietary plug... the original Odyssey^2 came with an RF switch that matched the plug, but I'm guessing you didn't get that part.

Don't worry though, there's a VERY easy way to fix the situation. Get a phillips screwdriver and open up the Odyssey^2... you'll see that the cord in question actually just plugs into the motherboard of the system. All you have to do is unplug it, get a normal male-to-male RCA cord and plug that in instead, and you can use normal RF switches like the rest of your systems use.

I've only seen pictures of one of those before. An interesting curiosity...but kinda pricey in collecting terms.

If you need diagrams on replacing the RF cord, click on o2william's WWW link. That'll take you to the mighty Odyssey2 homepage, which I highly, highly recommend.

You can always replace the RF cord on the Odyssey2 with one from Radio Shack. You have to buy one of those gold coax connectors to slide onto the end of the new cable. Shouldn't cost over $7 or $8

I kind of mickey moused my connector with a paper clip, an alligator clamp and tape. I'm too lazy to put a new cord in the system, lol. This was actually on my odyssey 1, but I believe they use the same connnection. Interestingly, I don't remember my O2 having this connection. Perhaps mine was modded, or did some O2s come with an RCA jack?

Some Odyssey2 models (probably the earliest ones) used the non-standard RF plug, which I believe is modeled after a European standard. Magnavox used this style for most (all?) of the early Odyssey line. Usually you'll find them on O2 consoles with detachable joysticks. Later, Magnavox wised up and started using standard RF cables.

Like Ze_ro said, it's really easy to switch out the nonstandard cable with a standard one. I appreciate PDF p1mping my site, but I have to recommend Ozyr's site (http://www.ozyr.com/o2/tvcordhk.html) for this one. He has a detailed guide for swapping the cable, complete with pics!
