Well, I WAS watching this VERY SWEET auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8138507241&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
Last night it had a couple days to go, not many watchers, and was only up to $65.
This morning it's gone. @_@
I wonder how much he was offered for it.....
That sucks. I would have kept that for a few years and doubled my money on it. LOL

That shrinkwrapping looks suspect to me. I agree with whoever e-mailed him (bottom of auction).

That game has been re-wrapped IMO.
Look at the seal on the top of the game from this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8134642685&rd=1
Notice how the plastic folds down on that one instead of having that melted seam like the fake one.

I still don't see that as being a rewrap.
Look at the picture of the security seal on the top of the game. That sticker is DAMN hard to fake. It looks like the real deal to me. :/

If you're REAL careful, you can peel those white security stickers off without tearing them. Then it's a piece of cake to put them back on.
What is hard to fake is the plastic wrap - which looks all wrong to me. I'm not an expert by any means - but know there's a definite difference between the plastic wrap in the two auctions above.
My guess is several people emailed him about it & he was honest enough to pull the auction.

Well, I'll take your word for it, cause I don't see it.
Still, the auction has some value. I'm selling my Versus FF7 guide on EBay right now and expect to pull in around $30-50 for it. And even a opened but mint and complete orginal FF7 can pull in about the same.
But if it IS a reseal, it's the best damn one I've seen. :/

Just for kicks, I emailed the guy & asked if he still had the game for sale. I haven't heard back from him yet.
I'll try to point out what I'm seeing that looks fishy:
On this game, you can see a plastic seam that runs along the top of the game's plastic wrapping.

On this game, the plastic looks like a "Christmas wrap," where the plastic is folded down and is smooth.

Just going from memory, all PS1 games I've opened were sealed like the latter, but I'm sure there's a DPer out there with more experience in PS1 games that can let us know for sure.

That top picture looks almost like the security seal has been cut through...
Laughing at the file name too, Jay LOL

Yeah, whenever I've bought PS1 games (or regular CD's, for that matter), the seal has always looked like the latter picture.

Damn. Why in the world would anyone pay 350 for that mess. What a joke.

Most CD or game cases will open enough on the bottom to slip the disks out without breaking the security seal. Regular single disk cases will unhinge entirely so that you could take out all the disks and booklets. This is an obvious re-seal.

The same guy has posted another sealed rarity:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=8140186558&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
That one looks legit to me.
If you do click on the link, be forewarned that you may go blind from his overuse of exclamation points.

Well, I'm lucky I did'nt bid on it, then. :) I WOULD have posted the auction here when I first saw it, but I had dreams of sniping it cheap.
Still, why bother tricking anyone? Enough people noticed it that he canceled the auction. A mint complete original FF7 and Versus book will still fetch around $100.

Just to add my 2 cents.
It's a re-seal.
I've had 2 FFV11 New/Sealed and there is no seam line on the top like the first auction. It has the Folded top with the triangle type edge fold like in the second pic.
