after reading various resources on how to build your own carts for virtual boy, i decided im not quite prepared to rip ope na cart yet and make my own for development/back up/playing rare games which i cant afford...

are there any sites which sell all the equipment required including a blank cart for writing at all?

i doubt there will be any replys to this as i cant find anythink myself and ive been looking all week!

as far as I know nobody sells blank carts so if you want to play new or unreleased VB games on your VB you will need to open one of your carts. The peopel over at Planet Virtual Boy are working on some new VB stuff with Dreamcast-Petition.com and Lik-Sang so who know maybe someday will get blank carts or new games. I'd send an email though to Planet Virtual Boy for your question since they seem to be real envolved in this.

cauterize, i'll be talking with you later on in depth on this one...
but if you need donor carts your best bet is ebay. many times sealed cases of virtual league baseball come up.....and check in EFnet IRC channel #virtualboy. DogP, Parasyte, and the others should be of great help.
Lastly, if you finish this darn thing you let me know mmkay? I'd love nothing more than to play faceball or f-zero on a virtual boy.

Doesn't DogP's site have a tutorial on this?
