Even after moving a month and a half ago, I still am going through stuff. I found a box of pictures and stumbled across the following I'd like to share:

http://webpages.charter.net/pmode4/daagenesis.png

My friend Andy (in the read shirt and Packer hat) was staying over that weekend and I had recently purchased my Genesis. I can't recall what it was I was playing, I'm thinking maybe Joe Montana Football. I had my Genesis and Master System on top of the TV and the NES hooked up in the cabinet the TV sat on. Seems like forever ago, but memories pop back as I examine the photo. I remember I owned a pretty sweet lookin' Batman T-Shirt (which is what I'm wearing). The jeans were also the same jeans I wore when I accidentally cut my leg with a box cutter. The right leg was soaked with blood (but Coca Cola got it right out).

So, does anyone else have classic video game moments caught on film?

Great thread, I loved looking at recently posted pics with game systems as Christams presents and kids falling in love with them. Bring on the old game pics of your past! (I don't have any, I was 28 when I started seriously gaming...ouch)

Thanks. Actually, this was a "sneaky" pic. I've got another where it's just outside my bedroom door and I didn't notice the flash (too busy playing). The one I posted my mom quick walked in and snapped a shot.

I'll have to find the old pics my cousin and I made our grandparents take. Everytime we beat a nintendo game we snapped a pic to send it off to Nintendo Power. Never got in the back of the mag though :/

I don't have any picture of me playing videogame, unless my best friend's parents caught us off-guard back in the day while playing on the NES. I know for a fact that mine never did that.

The only pic that I have that's somewhat technology-related (but not videogame-related) is a pic of me at my 10th b-day posing proudly with my Radio Shack 50-in-one Electronic projects kit! I still have that kit over at my parents' home (unless they finally got rid of the stuff in the backroom).

Anyone else had one of those kits? The pic below is the larger version of the kit I had, but it's from the same era.

That's awesome, thanks for posting that pic!

I don't recall any videogame related pics I have, but one thing that is really cool is that I have an old video, don't know where it is at the moment, of me playing SMB on NES. My mom filmed it. This was taken when I was like 6. The cool part is that it was taken the year the nes was released!!!!! I luckily got the system for my birthday.

I have a few silly pictures of me holding an EGM issue up next to my high-score in Super Mario World. They're at my mothers place... I'll have to talk her into bringing them down next time she comes to visit me. :)

yep, polyester shirts, girls with big glasses, tight revealing jeans, arcades, new game systems and the sexual revolution...the 70s and early 80s had it all!

It made us MEN...and then you wonder why the kids nowadays are crybabys ("these games are so hard, I died already twice") ;) The jeans alone made us tough, they destroyed almost our manhood, but we lived through it, damnit!

Actually, I recently found a picture of my old friend and I playing an MVS at one of my b-day partys. My parties used to be eat pizza at the pizza place and then play in the arcade for a few hours

But....no scanner :( So i'll edit this post if I get a friend to scan the picture for me.

I'll try and dig up the image of me getting my original Genesis, aka the only picture of me smiling I can look at, heh.

I thought the DP masses out there would get a kick out of this one in particular for its specific connotations :D Taken on my sixth birthday in September of 1984. I still have the game - but I wish I still had the box ;)

Damn! these are great pics. I love the one of the kid holding the 2600 box.... as well as the polyester shirt. Some great memories eh? I think i have one of me somewhere playing SNES and that's about it. I will dig around.
