Best Buy October clearance

Just a heads up. I was on CheapAssGamer (http://www.cheapassgamer.com) and found out Best Buy is having another clearance.

Here's a quick word of note from "Yeahman" who made the thread on CAG:



Some incredible prices. The problem is actually finding any of these left in store. I-Ninja (PS2), and Sphinx (XBOX) are $1.99. The question is are there any left anywhere? They probably sold long ago.

BB keeps thier games departments streamlined. You might find some stuff, but I tip my hat if you can find some of the 1.99 games.

Good luck finding what you can.

Despite that its still worth a shot if youve got a Best Buy near you, after all you never know.

I can't say I'll be disappointed if I miss this one though. I really have to save some money.

Yeah, wife checked, not a single one listed in stock, not overly surprised. Employees at my best buy are REALLY BAD. The PS2 launch saw employees, friends, and family going in and buying them BEFORE the store opened. There's never been a $.01 game guide in stock, and none of these sales have ever gotten me a game (not that I really try any more, if my wife hadn't been driving near there, I wouldn't have even bothered)

I-ninja for $2 would have been awesome though.

I drove about 100 miles total, going to 3 Best Buys, and all I got was:

Not worth the 3 1/2 hours time plus gas I used, IMHO.



They did have the new PS2 in stock at 2 of the 3 stores and I was tempted....just wasn't sure what my balance on my BB card was, so I held off.

I checked out 3 Best Buys today. Out of the deal I got a copy of MegaMan X7. Not too bad. I wanted Fire Emblem but no luck. I'll just have to get it at Circuit City. Thanks for the heads up though.

I just got home from a trip to Best Buy (the Clackamas store in Portland, OR, to be specific). Didn't find anything except one copy each of NBA Shootout 2004 and NFL Game Day 2004 (each for Playstation), and two copies of the Winter 2003 Jampack that I remember seeing there months ago. Nothing I wanted, so I didn't pick up anything.

Like downfall, I should really save some money, so I'm not disappointed.

Well, if you're in Arizona I wouldn't even waste time going to the store at 83rd & Bell. I was pretty sure that most of that stuff had been recently bought out and it was, so we have nothing of interest there. I don't think there's anything in that list that will compell me to look further ;D.

I wish Kmart would do this. We're overflowing with fucking PS2 games no one wants or can't find because there's no room to put them out so we keep them in bins under the case. Same with the Xbox games. Thousands of dollars of games under the cases because there's no room for them. And it takes forever for corporate to clearance anything. It's not that I only want cheapo games. It's just that I'd love to be able to put a brand new game in the case without having to bump one of the other two week old games to the bottom of the case. I mean a new game comes out every week and we even get older ones to put in there once in a while. They must not realize how limited space we have. Wait.. no they do. They designed the layout, so obviously they must think the games are selling. Which they're not.

Hehe, I strongly disagree. It's just as bad at best buy. No god damn room to put the games out. Planograms are just as bad. We get a plano for an endcap and some of the stuff they want you to peg hook on there are ridiculous. It's obvious it's just some office guy sitting at his desk picking sku's to put on there without even thinking wether or not the product will even fit.
