Gamecube Freestyle Street Soccer

alright, i found this at eb today for $7.62. it is a blockbuster exclusive game, and instead of the normal Gamecube case that has the memory card holder, it game with a blockbuster rental case.

i have spare regular GC cases i could swap it into, but would that be the "correct" thing to do.

did this game originally come with a normal case and did BB just switch it into a rental case....did it never come with a case and BB just put it right into their cases.....or, did this normally come in the BB case


so, should i leave it how it is, or switch it to a normal case??

I saw a used copy at a Game Crazy with the standard GC case.

@tholly, I can answer your question. Without a doubt, the game comes in a regular gamecube case----I have a factory sealed one to prove it. I had tried to buy one from BB, but all the ones they had were in BB cases and they wouldn't switch cases, so I didn't get one from them.

Supposedly, this game could also be ordered without the Blockbuster logo on it.

I believe that the only place you could get it at retail/in person is via Blockbuster.

However, I do know two people who have the game SEALED, that didn't get it from Blockbuster.

A few weeks ago I saw a couple of copies of this at a local department store in their < $20 bin (they don't normally carry games). Pretty sure the packaging didn't say anything about Blockbuster. Just your average everyday looking GC game in normal retail packaging.

but, the version that has a BB label on it is a BB exclusive....which is all that really matters to me when it comes to that game

maybe, maybe not. for the bb exclusive, i got it with the bb case. now for the xbox bb ex version, that is a different question altogether. many people have the game with a gc case, but it could have easily been switched at the gamestop or whatever. i just kept mine in the bb case (but maybe that is because i shop at bb way too much, and many of my games are still in the bb case) :)

honestly, i think it would look cooler in the bb case, for the fact is that it is a bb exclusive, and later on down the road it will make for a cool nostalgic piece being that is says bb exclusive and it is in a bb case. maybe that is just me trying to make myself feel better about having way too many games with bb cases since that place is like crack to me
