"GameBoy DS": Nintendo isn't taking all of the competition lying down, however. On Nov. 21, the portable gaming powerhouse will release its next GameBoy iteration, the DS. This revolutionary device includes not one but two screens, one on each flap of the clamshell player. The top screen is for primary game play, while the bottom touch-screen can be used for controls or other hidden wizardry. It even includes Wi-Fi wireless networking for near-field group gaming without per-minute charges and digital note-passing. Although initially derided by a blasé game press, it has great potential.

Oh. I had just assumed the general publid IS going to call it the gameboy DS, and had already resigned myself to the handhelds fated name.

who knows, all I know it's gonna be called "Nintendo DS" but someone may end up calling it the "GameBoy DS"
