Not really.

But it IS FIFTY issues and more!

Sure this is a product plug but how else are we gonna pay for this server? So... let's face it. Unless you've been with us since 1991 you've missed out on something big somewhere. Over 50 issues of DP's rich history, now on a single CD volume!

Founded in 1991 and intentionally hovering just under the radar, we are proud to release our first FIFTY issues plus all of the rare one-shot issues like our April Fool's stuff and even a complete copy of psychOpedia on a single CD. That's every issue from 1991 to 2003 in one neat little package, suitable for printing, framing, or framing someone else.

This is well over ONE THOUSAND PAGES of no-holds-barred classic gaming journalism, folks. From our humble beginnings learning what a "font" is, through the days when all of Belgium was banned from reading the 'zine, to the birth of the collecting boon and all the way up to the dawn of a new age whatever the hell that means. Behold the history of a tiny business that became ever so slightly less tiny after just a dozen long years!

This is NOT a CD-R. This compilation is professionally produced, mastered, pressed, printed, and shrink-wrapped. You won't find a fingerprint on the CD. There will not be a french fry inside the casing. It's new, and yet it's oh so old.

When we think about how many people have participated in the Digital Press project since 1991 we get slightly dizzy. From the basement of co-founders Kevin Oleniacz and Joe Santulli and originally staffed by some great local friends, a plethora of new friends, internet mavens, gaming addicts, system experts, and even luscious babes have come, gone, stayed, left in a fit of rage, or just passed out and we haven't noticed yet.

Wow...seems like a güd deal!

But just to make sure this is what I'm looking for, could you perhaps release one of the issue adobe files...exactlly the way it is on this CD - as a free demo.

Just so you can look at it...see how nicley it prints out on your printer....how easy it is to read on a PC...and so on, and so on

Overall - I think that one of the 50 issues going around for free won't kill your profits rite? Or perhaps even get you more profits :P

Long Live DP :D

That is a great idea.

I'll try to get that out there tonight. Actually there are two kinds of issues: The ones that we created originals from Adobe (about a dozen of them like that) and the ones that were scanned in from the originals. I'll upload one of the scanned issues since they're not as perfect as the PDF originals.

Glad u like it ;)

Oh and since you said there are quality differences - maybe show one from the scan ones and one from the adobe ones...

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the Belgium thing. LOL

I also completely forgot to pick one up at CGE. Thanks for the reminder!

Is this negotionable? Anyway, sounds extremely cool - I'll probably check into it when my bank account recovers from my last bout of impulse buying.

In the early 90's we had a regular reader from Belgium who would write in and comment about this or that. Like most passionate gamers, he had some strong opinions and on most points we disagreed. On one particular letter he got on my nerves about some game I was supposed to ship (equating me with a notorious rip-off artist of the day, Jim Redd) so in my editorial reply I pretty much ripped him and his country in the process.

[EDIT: WHOA. Just checked and I've actually got an old page with this letter:

Anyway, he chose to reply again and my response was that ALL OF BELGIUM was banned from reading the publication. It would never be shipped there again, all thanks to him (haha big loss!)

Most of this was in jest, of course. We both have pretty thick skin and over the years have corresponded several times. I haven't heard from Werner in years though. Does anyone know him or keep in touch?

Yep, I remember Werner, whatever happened to him? We used to swap games in the olden days, and one fine day he just 'left'? Those letters were weird to say the least, but mine weren't much cop either.

Thinking back, so many people left the scene.....

And here I thought I'd fallen through a time warp and landed in the future...was thinking "haha! I'm so much younger than all of you! :D"

"I'm not a Frenchie, I'm a Belgie!" :D

Never heard of a publication banning itself from a country before LOL
