The Event:

Now, a "sub-event" suggested by someone in that thread consists of having a "vs. NJ CLASSIC online" game going - one where four people on our side of the interweb can play with at least four others on the other side. I can support Xbox Live or PS2 online.

Here's the quandry. What games support this? Ideally the opposing (non-attending) players would be in various places and not required to be on the same Xbox or PS2 on the other side, but that would be a fair "plan B".

Help a brother out.

You can also do multifaceted multiplayer by using a Kaillera enabled emulator. All depends on who and what is up on the plate. :)

Now, if you guys had a copy of Dune 2000 and the Shai Hulud map editor set up, I'd getcha set up with some of my custom-made maps and challenge someone to a DUEL. But I can hold my ground for hours in that game. ;)

For the X-Box, the only real decent "Team" based games are FPS types. Castle Wolfenstein could be a good bet, as they have actual team-based maps, and different ways for people to work together. Some other games may fit the bill, but nothing i've personally played. I've heard good things about Star Wars Battlefront, but no idea how it works in regard to 4 on 4 teamplay.

Best games for this kinda thing are still all on the PC.

Would've been nice to try out the online capabilities of my new and shiny X-Box but I'm out of town for the weekend. Bummer. :/

That's the best suggestion I've heard so far. So Wolfenstein or possible Star Wars Battlefront... how about Xbox Counterstrike? Does the online mode work like the PC does?
