The game plays too fast. And we the game sound effects make the voice very hard to hear. What are the chances the that upcoming Atari Athology Collection will also have their games with wrong sound, color, controls, and other inncorrect gameplay issues?

Reference the current thread about MAT2; I already mentioned it there (it was too quick when I played it at CGE, but I guess they didn't bother to fix it even after I mentioned it!).

One of my favorite arcade games rendered completely unplayable with the Road Runner-like speed it clocks at.

For those who haven't picked up MAT2 yet, imagine playing Pac-Man as a speed so high, you constantly hit the walls before you can move the joystick to turn in ANY direction. Blurry, mega-warp-speed fast.

Dammit.

I was disappointed with Wizard of Wor in MAT2 as well... I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the lack of organ music, and the crummy voice samples. I swear they just stole the old samples that MAME uses.

Once again, can somebody please explain how these companies who the rights to their games keep Fu@#ing them up for the home consoles. It seems the best of these collections (with the exception of the control issues) is the first Atari collection by Midway for the PS1 and Infrogrames' Atari collection for PS1

I personally know the guy who did alot of the emulation for Wizard of Wor for MAT2, his emulation skills are off the hook, but unfortunately, someone else took his emulation code and ported it to the X-box, and that's where it got fuxxored.

His primary emulation was 100% perfect.

I think this game may have been a tad rushed to store shelves. ...you can thank Midway for that.

Midway rushing something out to market? They would never do such a thing. :P

It's too quick on ALL versions Raccoon Lad, not just the Xbox version. So something went awry. As I stated, it was too quick @ CGE and made a point to say this, but it never got fixed :/

First, there wasn't anyone at Midway's CGE display who could really communicate your concerns to Digital Eclipse. PR folks and programming folks are in entirely different realms of existence.

Second, the version of MAT2 being shown at CGE was about a week away from submission to Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo, meaning it was in the final stage of QA testing at that point. Even if your concern had somehow made it to someone who could do something about it, it probably wouldn't have been changed unless it was "easy" (in quotes because there's no such thing in game programming) to fix.

Not to defend this cock-up, as WoW was gonna be one of my favorite games on MAT2, but you're making it sound like everyone at Midway should've snapped to attention because one guy at a modest gaming expo walked up to a PR chick and said "Wizard of Wor plays too fast."

I told the cashier at KMart that my Martha Stewart ivory bedspread was more of a mother of pearl, but they never fixed it :(

Yea they should have fixed it because the there other issues with other games a la Pit Figher. In MK2,3,Total Carnage and Narc- music disappears. I assume there other issuses as well with those games and the others(Arch Rivals seem perfect) but I haven't playing that much after the 1st couple days.

As it turns out, I just bought this collection today (XBox version)...now I have to wonder if I should keep it and play it or just return it?

Unless you were buying it solely for Wizard of Wor, keep it. Most of the games look and play great.
