Howdy All,
Guys soemone help me out here please, I got a good friend that wants this game for the NES nintendo called QIX and he is having a bitch of a time fining one besides some Ebay Store that wants to rail him like 30 bucks and that is retarded price for QIX it's only like 10 bucks or something close to that. I'm looking for a loose copy with a MINT label cause that is what hes looking for. Myself I don't give a shit about condition most the time but he likes the labels to be MINT so that is what I'm trying to get for him. I have trades or I can pay cash. Also I am looking to get one of these controllers in the picture below. It is for the Nitendo also. It is NOT a nintendo company product but a real nice 3rd party made to look like a NES controller. Anyone got one? It originally had orange and black buttons but I replaced them with 4 red ones for more of an original look. This controller rocks and I will pay 10 bucks shipped for one that is in good condition. I just need a second so I have a set. I offer 10 as the most I'd pay cause I got this one for a buck but there too cool just to have one :D

Dude Qix for the NES is an R7. Look it up in the online guide. Still the sugested price in the guide is $10.

Yes, I was going to mention that it was sort of hard to come by as well.

and i just want to get my 3 cents in since my name is the game.
A rather hard game to find indeed... i see bubble bobble 2 and tengen tetris more often then this little gem. I highly recommend it. and let me tell you, qix isn't just "some game" that is "like an R3"... qix is a way of life.
once you get it, enjoy it and never stop playing.

sorry guys, I didn't realize it was a hard one to come by. I know where I can get a sit down arcade of QIX what is that worth? You know the one thats a table style and the screen is the table top?

wow. I would love to have one of those. never seen one. no idea on price, if it is a good deal grab it! qix is amazing. chances are though that it is nothing like the nes version and closer to the 5200 version.
my advice, get it! not because it might be worth some change, but because it is an excellent game. It is a game that is always different each time you play.

I found out the name of the style of the arcade machine of QIX that I can get is called a cocktail arcade, is that a more noticable name for a style of arcade machine?

Qix is super rare and worth the $30 bucks. I've found probably 4 copies in the wild before. I never sold them for less than $25 bucks. Tell your friend to bite the bullet and fork over the cash. It's worth it.

Here is an even better link for the controller in question:

I should have a couple left if others are interested. I do not have the box if you wondered.
You may notice the buttons are a different color than you described that is because the repair kits had those strange orange buttons and likely your controller was already repaired once.

I did the button change and put real NES red butons in it. I love this controller and wanted to make it look as 1st party as possible. I even replaced the cord and end with a NES brand contoller cord so the plug says nintendo on it and everything!! Cool eh? :D
