For those who don't know about it yet, think Wonderboy as an online multiplayer game. The English version is currently in a beta state but the Korean and Japan games have been going on for a while now, and it's supposed to stay free even after the beta is over.

I'm sure people'll be pissed that I bring it to other's attention here, but it's not like Gamefaqs isn't bringing in their share of new users. I'm a level 21 archer called Greebles right now.

You can form parties, and when you slay monsters in the same room you share xp and money, get to see your party member's health, etc. It seems you do that to help raise up your lower level buddies faster.

Hold onto any leathers and ores you get, and make sure you pick a job as soon as you can so you don't miss out on skill points each level up.

i started a account and have been playin all day, its really great, still trying to get a hang of the map setup and stuff, whats the diffrence between the channels? i dont really understand how that works

I started playing tonight. I'm level 8 and haven't chosen a job yet, but the only one I've found so far is Archer. It's decent, but I keep wandering into areas that require much higher levels.

On another incredibly strange token: I passed a guy named sisko, whose sprite was exactly the same as mine. What are the odds?

I got up to level 25 and quit, couldn't see the game offering much more in terms of play mechanics than what I had seen. Here's some hints for anyone setting out to play an archer though:

Ignore Intelligence and Luck completely, get Strength up to 15-20, and pump up Dexterity like crazy. Put all of your stats into it every level up when you can get away with it.

For your skills, max out Critical Shot, Double Shot and Amazon's Eye, ignore Amazon's Blessing and Focus, they are useless. You'll have to put some points into Blessing and Arrow Blow to open up Eye and Double however.

I'm bumping this up because they are going to be opening beta registrations from Friday until Tuesday. If you missed out on signing up for this game the first time, now's your chance. Piece of advice, use your real birthday when signing up.

The game is very fun and addictive. The expansion should be coming soon (Ossyria), although a definite date has yet to be set for it. :)
