A Japanese Gaming reader found this.

Too bad the currency is yen, an not Turkish Lira.

THIS IS THE HOT STEAMING STUFF! *gets out super secret saving vault and digs up $37,200*

* * * Family computer love QUEST SAMPLE? ROM cassette & * *
What the hell game is that? Title looks familiar in kanji but the translation is apparently bad...

But yeah, first thing when I saw the price I went OMG A PROTOTYPE OF THE FC!!1111`TILD, but then my hopes were, uh, dashed. Teh sad.

Now hopefully I'll have a steady paying job when a prototype of THE Famicom shows up ;D

Ha, the same thing passed through my mind. Hey, Gaijin, maybe you could shed some light on this game?

Gaijin why is your site down? Cool auction but I would only pay 3 million yen for that.

I know there's an SFC game called "Love Quest".

It's an RPG (I think never got real far) in a modern setting, starts off with your girlfriend getting kidnapped or something during your wedding.

I would guess that this is a prequal.

The title is in Katakana, I think, where it would read something like "Rabukuesuto". "Love Quest" is what bablefish insists that the name means...
It's listed as an unreleased game for the famicom by Tokuma which was reworked into a Super Famicom game. see: http://64.53.95.207/ujap/ujap.html for example.

-Family Computer: Love Quest - Developed for the Famicom, but was eventually haulted.
-Was eventually released on the Super Famicom.
-Sample Rom Casette
-200% Hard To Find Soft! (Hard to translate, but you get the idea)

Why's my site down? The Dynamic servers were attacked recently, and they're just getting them back up. The forum is up, but the main site is still down.

Because I have nothing better to do...

Edit: And that's as far as I can get. The big guy promptly beats the shit out of me when I talk to him and I wake up back in my apartment.

Those are pretty good graphics for a SNES game, especily the title screen (yes, I know, it's really Japanese, but let me call it a SNES game anyway, okay? ;) )

They're nice and colorful anyway. Reminds me a a lot of Harvest Moon.

How often do FC protos show up anyway? I'm guessing less often than US ones, but I don't know anything about the JP proto scene at all.

I've been wondering about this as well. You know that there's gotta be some FDS disks floating around, since companies often went and made up their own instead of paying Nintendo's rates for extras

Famicom prototypes (more like demos or samples) show up quite frequently on Yahoo of Japan, and they sell for really low prices...

This was back in 2 years ago though...I doubt that this changed much though.

Sweet. I've seen some SFC protos going really ridiculously low, so...
