A lot of those just REALLY SUCK. The atari one, the lynx one, wonderswan, and game gear ones.

The last 2 have a gamecube sitting RIGHT THERE, HOOKED UP TO THE TV.

This page (same site) is a bit better - http://benjamin.francois.free.fr/artwork/gcubix/index-misc.html

But still, some of those are REALLY BAD and he should have just left them off completely (the teletubby and cut and paste cel phone one)

gCubix running on Van Neumann's ENIAC System, port by kwyxz :

gCubix running Babbage's Analytical Engine, by Warren - let's hear what he's telling us :
Well, it took some time to re-write the code to get gCubix running on the 100% mechanical hardware of Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine, but here it is.
It averages a re-fresh rate of about 1 frame per week, which isn't too bad considering Babbage never finished the engine and this is just the "Mill" section that his son built.

what are those pics, people just messing around and sticking GC game screens onto other screens and manipulationg them to make it look like it's running on that hardware? It's pretty cool, reminds me of the all your base belong to us stuff.

No. These guys wrote a multiplatform emulator. Those are pictures are actually fully functional games, not manipulated photos. Soul Calibur II on the Game Gear is great!

*cough*

The GameGear and Lynx pictures are the worst.

There's no way in hades that those screens would ever be that clear with such nice resolution. LOL

I'll second the avatar-picture-thing. If I didn't know any better, I'd think it was a riff on Anne of Green Gables that Takahata made for television in 1979. Am I right?

Forgive me; I have to backtrack a bit here to make fun of the tool claiming he had "awesome" video of Super Mario Sunshine running on a GBA. I think that it the whole 10 seconds of foothatge or somehing, that I saw, the whole screen refresehd once. Yeah, it's pretty, um, awesome, allright. SIGH Oh well, I was warned aobut it only running at 2 fps.

An Etch-A-Sketch port, by Tanguy. Tanguy notifies us the port sometimes freezes unexpectedly: to reset it, simply turn over the device.

I think i know how they did that video.. there is a JPEG viewer u can put on GBA Flash cards, i reckon all they have done is used screenshots on there and shown a diff pic of SM Sunshine every second.. am i right?

Yea in another forum the guy admitted that is what he did.

its quite clever of them to be honest.. if i didnt know there was a jpeg viewer, i would be very confused as to how they "supposedly" emulated it...

Indeed. I thought it was Future Boy Conan until I learned of the existence of Anne of Green Gables. I believe the original was at good ol' http://www.kidfenris.com/ , but there doesn't seem to be a way to view archived news there.

And yeah, some of the ideas are cool, but the photoshoppage is of poor quality indeed.

You know that you can download Anne of Green Gables and Future Boy Conan at Anime Suki (http://www.animesuki.com), right?

Yeah, someone mentioned that, though I don't have nearly enough hard drive space right now. (A pity there aren't more people who would be as content with 1 MB/min file sizes as I would.)
