Hi , I am wondering if there are any playchoice 10 owners on this site? I am looking into buying a playchoice 10 countertop version and I have a few questions about them first. So I just was hoping there was someone out there I could ask. Thanks

ask away, i've got a PC-10 countertop with 14 games and 20 marquees. cant say i get a ton of use out of it since i have an NES but its cool for parties and collecting value. if you do get one...get Dr.Mario, that game is perfectly suited to the limited time format, many others just arent.

Hey christian I have a question for ya about the PC-10, how much did you pay for it? I've been looking for one too, but I don't know what a good price to pay for it is.

i used to follow the newsgroups pretty close and somebody posted in the vec group that he wanted to trade a broken PC-10 for a working vec. i had an extra vec and we set up the deal. went to the guys parents house and it was the funniest thing, she leads me up to his gameroom to get the PC-10 and dammit if he didnt have 5 vecs already with tons of gear, oh well thats his thing. it came with 10 games in it and 20 mini marquees.
i almost feel like i ripped him off, he said the PC-10 had a bad monitor and controls. so i get it home and call my tech friend over, we took it apart bit by bit, cleaned it and reconnected it...worked perfectly!
anyways enough of my old brag, i've seen PC-10 countertops go in the $300-400 range for a good model. its like anything arcade, you get the good deals if you look locally.

"limited time format"
What do you mean by that ? Does the game reset itself after a certain amount of time ? And if it does , can that feature be turned off ? Also , are games easy to take in and out of it ?
Christian , would you be willing to sell yours if the one I'm looking at right now doesn't happen? You seem like you don't care about it that much .

The PC-10 has a timer where a credit gives you a certain amount of time to play. You can change the amount of time, or even possible turn off the timer with dip switches. Of course you could also just put a lot of credits on ot.

nah i'm keeping mine, its a great NES collecting trophy, besides it makes me beer money during the trademeets. i wouldnt even want to think of shipping it either, thing weigh a ton. if you have the space the full sized PC-10 arcade cabs go for less money than the counter tops.
the games are like installing a card in a PC, about as hard. i'm loathe to do it since i hate to giggle with the boards in there.
