Change your password ASAP, but it might already be too late.

Yeah, you better change your password, take off your bank account link or whatever you're getting money from, notify eBay (for real this time), and get ready to start denying some charges.
What's more, you should probably never use that username again.
I found the link thet it went too.

Ebay will never ask for your password. The golden rule.

You can type any name and password in there and it'll take you foward and ask further information. A common rule of thumb is simply to go to the site and put your information in yourself. I saw the same thing so many times when I worked for a credit card company. Some of those emails can look very real and the same thing with the copied sites

my gf's mom did this. you might also want to cancel any credit cards you may have there on file.

No legitimate company will ever ask for your password in an email. Ebay, Paypal, Amazon, etc etc
Keep a close eye on your creditcard/bank statements and make sure all stays well.

notice the bold does not say ebay.com, thats another thing to look at. I wrote a few fake things in there, LOL

this actually happened to me, got my credit card number and everything, 20 minutes later i figured it out and called my credit card to get a new one and changed my ebay password, thankfully no damage has been done.
as a rule of thumb, ANY links that come to you in email that link to accounts that have money in them.,, are generally a bad idea.

I believe that the very top post in this forum deals with what you have asked. It may be a good idea to give it a quick once over. I think it is from the moderators and it is always at the top with the little chef guy standing by it. :)

Thats what I hate about hotmail, you can't see the real link. I had to forwrd that e-mail to my other Gmail accont just to see the URL.
