Saw the Toys 'R Us circular in Sundays paper - Buy any 2 Xbox, Gamecube or PS2 games, get the third one free. Can mix or match consoles. Of course the cheapest one is the free one. Does not include GBA games, but does include closeout games with the green labels, which are also 50% off in addition to the Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer. The closeout rack had N64, Dreamcast, and even a Genesis game and some GBA games like Klonoa and Virtua Tennis.
I picked up Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario and Legend of Zelda Four Swords all for $105.98. Thats $33.33 a game plus tax. Not bad for new releases that will probably stay at $50 a pop for a while.
Plan on going back later this week to get Star Wars KOTOR (Xbox) Crimson Skies (Xbox) and Billy Hatrcher (GC) for $40 plus tax ($19.99 each)
Sale is through this week while supplies last.

I went to my local TRU last night and picked up phantom brave, donkey konga and shin megami tensei: nocturne for about 104 bucks. It wasn't actually the best deal around, but hey I'm not complaining. As a matter of fact, i'm still thinking about going down there and picking up two copies of nocturne for trade/sell bate then getting shadow hearts 2 for free.

finaly cheap enough for me to buy them, $40 for 3 games not to shabby.
It seems to me that they marked up some of there close out games, some that would normally be priced $15 and $20 were green tagged for $30 and $40. so not really a mark up, but not really 50% off either.

Any stores that have remaining green tag items for the three systems are also included in the B2G1 sale. In addition to that, the old XBox "value software" stuff was marked down to $9.99 green tagged, so it worked out to 3 for $10 for titles like Namco Musuem, Test Drive, Morrowind (PH, not GotY), Mojo, Pacm Man World 2 and a few others I don't recall.

Damn, my TRU is horrible about GCN stuff. These are out in plastic cases rather tha making you grab the tags. There are maybe 40 games total, if that. Very small and crappy selection. There are some good deals to be had, but nothing I needed. SMB + SMB2 for $30 jumped out as a nice one.

Well I went to TRU tonight but they didn't have Mario Party 5 and I didn't like any of the other gamecube exclusives that I don't own already. Damn them! Second sight looked interesting but I guess I could get that on any system.

Same here. I stopped in my local store today and most of the games I would have gotten -- New Contra, GTA San Andreas, Paper Mario for GC -- they did'nt have or were out. I would have gotten Tron 2.0 for the GBA with two of those games. Oh well, they lost some bussiness. The older game selection was well stocked but they did'nt have much for new stuff.

OH man you guys are going to love this. I went ahead and got four swords and crystal chronicles and since they didn't have mario party 5 I decided to get san andreas as my free game. I don't even really like GTA games but I have friends who do and they are fun for a little while. I still haven't played through the first 2 but at least they have some GNR on the soundtrack. By the way, they had like eleventy billion madden 99's selling for $ 10. Who the hell is going to pay that kind of money! I'm guessing they'll be in the dollar bin sooner than later.
