First, I'm new to these forums. Hi, everyone.

I run a video game music radio station called The VG Experience. I play old and new, known and unknown music, with the majority being from RPGs & Nintendo games, though there's other stuff as well.

Since this is a retro gaming community, I thought I'd let you know about my Retro Classics program. It's on Mondays and Thursdays, from 7-9 PM Eastern time. I play mostly NES music, with some Amiga and SNES thrown in for good mesasure.

I've put a lot of time & effort into it, so please give it a listen, and let me know what you think!

Here's the website: http://www.vgexperience.cswarehouse.net
And here's the message board: http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_VG_Experience/index.php?act=idx
Here's a list of games I play music from: Game List (http://www.vgexperience.cswarehouse.net/songlist.htm)

In addition to the regular playlist, I have special scheduled programs.

Schedule (http://www.live365.com/broadcast/scheduler/?stationname=djdrakken) (all Eastern times):

Every day 12 - 3 AM - Electric Relaxation
Sunday 7 - 8 PM - Epic Battles (all battle music)
Sunday 8 - 10 PM - ReMixed (all remixes, bands, orchestral, etc.)
Monday 7 - 8 PM - Retro Classics
Tuesday 7 - 8 PM - Koji Kondo Hour
Wednesday 7 - 8 PM - The Chrono Hour
Thursday 7 - 8 PM - Retro Classics Encore
Friday 7 - 8 PM - Final Fantasy Friday
Friday 8 - 9 PM - Top 25 Songs of the Week
Friday 11 PM - 12 AM - BPM: Friday Edition
Saturday 8 - 9 PM - Top 25 Encore
Saturday 11 PM - 12 AM - BPM: Saturday Edition

Wow. It's a little wierd someone takes time do something like this. You must have a lot of free time. Are you thinking about becoming a game music developer thingy thing? :)

Hey, this sounds like a great idea! I like the range of games selected and the choices of the music.

I can't try it out now, cause my roommates are sleeping, but is the station stream on 24-7?

I bookmarked that sucker so I can try out in the morning. :)

Well, I love video game music. And yes, I hope to become a vgm composer in the future.

Yep, the station is always on. The regular playlist is on whenever there aren't any special programs going.

Well, I'm listening to it right now, and I'm very impressed.

Had it on for about half a hour, and I've heard music ranging from Contra and Blaster Master on the NES, to FF X-2 for the PS2, to Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for the GBA to a Kirby game for the SNES. And only one 'commercial' break during it.

I'll defentily check out the programs in the evenings. :)

But keep up the good work! I'll defnetily have this on in the background now on when I'm not doing much else. :D

Hmm...can you explain the problem more? If you're having a problem with the Live365 player, you can also use Winamp or another media player. If you have AIM, you can contact me on there (my sn is Drakken688).

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! :)

That's odd, but I think I know what you're talking about. I'll look for you on AIM later today.

Thanks, guys. If you like the station, please post in the forums (http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_VG_Experience/index.php?act=idx). You can request songs, see what songs are new, talk about video game music, and check out the Tales of Symphonia raffle (http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_VG_Experience/index.php?showtopic=96) that's going on right now to raise funds for the station.
