Blockbuster Exclusive Outlaw Golf 9 Holes of XMAS

I picked up this exlcusive Xbox title from my Blockbuster. It is 9 holes of Outlaw golf in ice and snow with an Xmas theme. It is pretty cool for only 4.99

If anyone sees one at their B Buster you may want to give it a try

Well the way the girl recounted it, was that "the guy" asked for 5, and it rang up for $25 and she was like "What's going on?". The guy who rang me up had no idea that they a. had them and b. what the price was.

Hey, if we need more, luckily there's a good 4 BBs in this area to milk :D

I think this exclusive is a great idea. I wanted to try Outlaw Golf, and this should do the trick :D

The BBV in my parents town only got one, and the employee snagged it up. Luckily, living in Detroit, there's a BBV next to the liquor store.

I've been to three Blockbusters so far...all have been wiped out :(

I then went to a little out of the way place and saw one for $35!!!

I may need a little help on this one...I want it, when I get my XBox for XMas (hehe) Outlaw Golf is my #1 wanted game, so I really want this disc as well..., but it seems like I may have missed out on it around here :(

well, I picked up 2 on the way home today...the BBV's around here put a 2 game limit on them...which is smart and fair, so thier are some around here yet.

My BB still has all five of their copies....of course they've priced them all at $49.99! I took one up to the counter and had them check the price. In some system wide look-up, it came up $4.99, but the store computer kept ringing them up at the full price. He said he knew it was wrong but couldn't change it. Luckily the BB down the street had them at the right price so I snagged one for the future point when I pick up a cheap X-Box.

Anyone think these things will one day be as scarce as X-mas Nights is now....or did they make too many?

Somewhat stupid question: Is this just an expansion nine holes for those of us with Outlaw Golf, or is it it's own game?

It's not an expansion, but then again it's only one course and 9 holes at that.....it feels more like a demo, but it comes in a case like any other xbox game and the disc looks like any other game....also for the rarity question...let's say there's a 1000 bbv's in the US....each one got 5....that roughly 5000 copies.

snagged one last night! pretty cool for $5 bucks. although I shot a 97 for 9 holes and hit the stroke limit on 3 of them. I suck at golf.

I love the 9 holes of X-mas. It is a demo though, kinda, it just tries to get you to like Outlaw golf and buy the full version. :-)

Anyway the BB near me has a bunch of copies. If anyone needs one and has paypal, just send me an email.

I can't guess at how long the copies will be in the store.

I snagged my up yesterday afternoon and played it last night. I too suck at golf, and having the announcer verbally pick on me didn't help (but was funny). I like the Right stick pull back for power and forward to hit/hook/slice the ball. Kinda like the Golden Tee games in that regard where you have to be accurate and not just time button hits. I actually had fun and you can't go wrong for 5 bucks.

The disc includes the X-Mas game (rated as a demo but makes no mention of an "X-Mas version", so I think it's just a short game), a regular Outlaw Golf demo and a few game movies (which I can't remember). Inside is a one-fold quick reference guide with a "Rent one get one free" coupon attached.

I got 2 last night, Left 2 behind for someone else. The woman there said they have sold a bunch of copys, she was kind of crazy though, so not sure how many they got in to begin with.

SCORE! 9 BBV's later I found the game! I went to and called so many in Detroit, but no one had one. I also found something out, if they don't have retail space, then they won't sell it. I thought all the BBV's sold new games now? Huh I guess not.

Anyhow, I bought all 4 of them that the store had. I took them from the counter to buy and the guy looked at me funny so I quickly told him that I have "friends" that have been looking for them and they are virtually nonexistant in Detroit. Whew!

For those of you who didn't get one you don't have to worry. They are releasing it on the next edition demo disc (Feb) of official Xbox Magazine. (So much for an exclusive) They also have a booster pack for Sega GT called "Holiday Drive" on the Current issue (Jan) My BB is still loaded with them. It always helps to have a friend that works at Blockbuster :-D
