I see people selling video game ROMs so often and I wonder how they are getting away with it. I can see shady ebay sellers (no or low feedback, new) but the person in the above link has 100% feedback (101 positive replies !!!). What does ebay do with people like this !?!?!? I sure hope their account is terminated immediately. Also, if their contact information is known the proper authorities should be notified.

That seller is better than some of them that do it, he states right up front in the title what there are unlike some who try to pass is off as a huge game lot.

Yup, I would to. I don't mind paying a fee for someone doing the work and hassle of finding thousands of ROM's for me. It ain't easy to do anymore these days.

now if he included a n64 to pc adapter type deal and the emu supported it, that would be cool.

Have you never tried things like Emule? It isn't that hard, as long as you have the bandwidth and time to download.

I have to hand it to them. I'm sure they make some cash doing it. I have to agree on that dvd purchase. I'd even buy a multi dvd purchase for mame. These fucken Chds have been downloading for the last 3 days......16 gigs downloaded....3 more to go.

Thats the point, time.

Time is worth money. I make an average of $100 an hour when I'm working. It's much easier to pay a couple of bucks for a cd with a couple thousand roms than to waste my time searching for them. :D

Not really, you try downloading a complete mame set or some of the N64 roms on a 56k connection. It's called convenience, not stupidity.

I sure bought a CD of SNES roms one time when the auction slipped through. It was like 600 roms and an install program. I bought 2 of them for $8. It was a dutch auction. Nice looking CD too. Very professional looking.

Usually in ROM auctions, you get more than a blank CDR. They're usually labeled with nice packaging. Still though, if you have some free time and design a nice cover for the CD or DVD case, then you could make some (illegal) money.
