For you people who have GTA on XBOX and PS2

Is it just me, or is it hard as hell to go and play San Andreas on PS2 after toiling away on the XBOX versions of Vice City and III? My God, I feel like I've stepped into a time warp to 1995...

(Yes, I know PS2 was not 1995, but that's what it feels like).

Anyway, is it just me?

Well I only play my xbox and Gamecube, my PS2 gets aiot of shelf time. When I played San Andreas I couldn't believe how bad teh graphics sucked. I felt like it was 1995 (I didnt think that at the moment). The system really does feel very outdated graphiclly. Im not sure if that's what you meant, but that bothered me once I started playing.

That's exactly what I was talking about... I'm the same way. Besides a little Xenosaga, I don't think I've done anything on the PS2 for the last 18 months or so. Now I remember why.

How long before the XBOX port? I had heard March of '05 at one point.

it's going to be at least a year exclusivity deal with sony I believe

but yeah it's awkward to have such things like personalized radio and fingers you can see the character's fingers and then go back to the ps2 but hey I'm more for gameplay than graphics so I'm enjoying san andreas

I can think of a number of games that have great PS2 graphics -- Xenosaga and Star Ocean 3 included. ;)

But yeah, I plan to wait until GTA 4 comes out for either the XBox or PC.

After being hooked on Xbox for so long (with 480/720p and 5.1 surround), it's hard as hell to look at ps2 games. I replayed some Mark of Kri and I sure as shit didn't remember the graphics being so blurry. It's depressing also, how a lot of publishers make the game for the ps2 first and port it over to GCN/Xbox when it robs the game of greatness (I realize ps2 is more popular, which is why this decision is made).
