Hey Adrienne,

I just had a question about this card... Ok, look... This is my dillemma, I
just found out that I can buy an entire set of animal crossing cards, thus
making this purchase not a good one. : ) Obviously, I'm still forced to buy
this card off of you, but I just wanted to see if you wanted to perhaps you
wanted to resell this card on Ebay (after all, that's what I'm gonna do...)
I do know for sure that that card is the most rare of the bunch. I
know that if you wait a little longer, that card could be worth some major
$. Anyhow let me know, I can do this purchase, but I just figured I'd give
you some options. Thanks for listening. Sincerly Pete ---

I got this email in today from a bidder who just bought one of my Animal Crossing cards. He emailed me a few minutes after the auction ended, but I'm wondering why he didn't think to email me before hand and I would have cancelled his bid. He has the audacity to give me options? Sure, a non-paying bidder report and a negative sound good to me! >:(

Well, if it's the rarest of the AC cards, what makes him think he'll find it easily in ecard packs? He might end up investing more in AC packs for that card than it would cost him to just buy it off you. Obviously that guy never spent a whole season trying to find a given pro athlete card by buying a ton of sports cards packs.

What a twerp indeed.

Save that email, it could be used against that bidder if he/she tried to ge t the NP report removed.

So what exactly did he say that was so wrong? He had second thoughts about buying your card and asked you if you would like to relist it again and possibly sell it for more next time. He also said (twice I believe) that he would still honor his winning bid if you didn't want to relist. So what's the problem? You just tell him that you'd rather him complete the transaction.

Relisting costs the seller money for one. Relisting costs the seller time for two. Spoiling a sellers auction when the bid could easily have been deleted before hand is simply rude.

If it was me, and the guy offered to re-imburse me for my time and listing fees, then maybe. He's done neither. She's the one who should be listing options, not him. If every buyer pulled that shit, Ebay would cease to function altogether. I guess this bidder doesn't read the terms he's agreeing to when he bids. Remember, with no sellers, there is no Ebay. Sellers don't like being jerked around.

Of course I just came off my first non paying bidder. So, I'm a bit pissed. I carefully set up an auction, I kind of like not to be jerked around, and be forced to jump thru ten flaming hoops to get ahold of the winning bidder, and then thru a few more hoops to get my $6 in listing and final value fees back.

Thats just eBay. If someone sent me that e-mail after an auction I would let them out of the transaction no problem without leaving a negative or filing a NPB. They were more or less polite about the whole thing and offered to complete the transaction if you weren't going to budge so I am not quite sure what the big deal is.

All active sellers on eBay eventually have to write off some cash in the old bad debt account from time to time. So personally I find it best to just shurg off the little things and give people the benefit of the doubt so that I can save my frustration for the real winners that come along.

I'm quite upset because he had the high bid for 4 days...not like he sniped the auction or anything. Yet he immediately emails me with this right after the auction ended. He out bid a person who has already paid for other auctions, whom previously had the bid on this card. I'd rather sell to someone who wants it for less, than one who will change his mind half way through the transaction for more. To me, the email had an air of attitude...It's the fact that he was so brash as to give 'me' options.

afterall, that's what I'm gonna do

Not only is it money, it's time. Now I've got to relist, wait a whole nother week, and expect less for the card. I'm not going to give him a negative, maybe a neutral for he was honest, and quick about it, but such a twerp as to not notify me before the auction ended. I've already told him about the NPB. That 30 cents it cost to run an auction adds up to lunch when you're in college.

Your re-listing? I would have just e-mailed him back "Thank you for winning the card. your total is 0.00+1.50 shipping. If payment is not recieved within 7 day negitive feedback will be sent.
