The few yard sales that actually happened this weekend all sucked, so I went to EB Games and Toys R Us.

EB Games (with the GMR card)

Alone in the Dark: One Eyed Jack's Revenge (PS1, complete) - $2.69
Gekido (PS1, complete) - $1.79
Namco Museum Vol. 1 (PS1, complete) - $5.39
Power Play Sports Trivia (PS1, complete) - $1.34 UP FOR TRADE
Sea-Doo Hydro-Cross (PS1, complete) - $1.79
X-Blades Inline Skating (PS1, complete) - $1.34

Toys R Us

Mojo (XB, new) - $5
Namco Museum (XB, new) - $5
a second Namco Museum (XB, new) - free

I saw a used copy of Gitaroo Man (PS2) at an EB yesterday for $36 and some change. I'm thinking about buying more bulk Xbox software at TRU and trading it in towards Halo 2 so I can finally own Gitaroo Man. What do you guys think about my plan?

Went to the flea market late..
The day was full of rain at a constant drizzle.
I never had so many, know me vendors say "Wow! your late today"

It sucked there today for finds ..but I enjoyed it..overall though it was rainy, the day was nice.
The vendors just pack up early or don't show when rains.

I only spent $31.00.
My buddy Ron picked up a complete Saturn($10.00...
12 sealed computer games for $5.00...&.misc stuff.
Early(mint in plastic) NINTENDO POWER magazines...
The guy (I know) has a whole bunch of them..It looks as if a collector had taken care of them..I didn't pick anything of them up though.

I picked through games and only grabbed what I don't have in my collection..
The VECTOR Graphics Roll of Red thick Contact paper to me is a find..I use this stuff for Arcade machine control panels etc..
I have no clue what the Heavy roll would cost..but for $5.00 I wasn't passing it up..

What the heck is a SURF NINJA?

A very bad early 90s movie that was only slightly redeemed by on par performances by minor characters played by Leslie Neilson and Rob Schnider

What the heck is a SURF NINJA?

I remember Surf Ninjas LOL
I watched it when I was younger. If I remember correctly, the one kid in it used a gamegear a lot. I think it was magic or something...? Or not. I don't remember it very well. I do, however, playing the game on a system I rented from my dad's videostore once. Very cool.

Blockbuster was having a special where they were giving $8 in store credit for each dvd trade in. I already had $8 in store credit, then I brought in some dvd's I don't watch anymore, went to the flea market and bought 7 dvd's at $20 for all, took them all to Blockbuster and walked out with a used Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Super Mario Golf Advance, Castlevania 64 and a new Tales of Symphonia. On top of the dvd trade in they were also having a buy one get one half off sale for all used games. After all was said and done I ended up only owing them about $8 in cash. I was happy! Incidentally, the girl behind the counter told me one guy came in with so many dvd's he got $2200 in store credit!

I inadvertantly did pretty well today. My local haunt got a load of loose Intellevision in and I got first picks though them. I don't really know much about Intellivision, so I just grabbed what looked interesting. All were $2.95 a piece and are in great shape.

Popeye
Microsurgeon
Swords & Serpents
Sewer Sam
Carnival
Centipede
Frogger
Burgertime
Bump N Jump
Dragonfire
Atlantis
Motocross
Nightstalker
Mission X
Pitfall
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back
Lock N Chase
Donkey Kong
Pole Position - White Label
Commando - White Label
Slam Dunk Super Pro Basketball - White Label
Super Pro Football - White Label
Tower of Doom - White Label
Hover Force - White Label

And the crown jewel... Fathom!

I'm going to go back tomorrow after reading the DP guide and see if there are any other rarities there. But I think I did pretty good with my instinctual selections!

I also got a copy of GTA:SA, a couple sets of 2600 Paddles, and a 2600 Kids Controller at the same time. GTA was full price, but the 2600 controllers were free.

I'm happy!

the gamecube version is better graphically, and it is only twenty dollars new, so I would go for that over a used dreamcast version for $20 after discount.

No it was surf Ninjas where the kid uses a gamegear. That movie was olk, the first 20 minutes were great but I didnt really like the rest. I have the 3 first 3 Ninja movies. 2 on dvd and watched the first lone just last week. 3 Ninjas is where the 3 kids get taught by their grandpa ninja, and have to save their dad and grandpa in the first one, save the city and the people in the second, and save the grandpas kinfe in the 3rd when they go to Japan.

:D BUH-ZING!

Woohoo! I never get any good finds!

Yesterday, from a pile of CDs in my basement that my dad had, I found:
Jurassic Park Soundtrack
Independence Day Soundtrack
Batman Forever Soundtrack
and Sonic the Hedgehog Boom ( :D )
^Its the music from Sonic CD and Sonic Spinball on some sort of collectors edition disc! Awesome!

EBGames:

Genesis:
Vectorman-CIB-$4
Comix Zone-cart, instructions, box-$4 (it does not have the CD mentioned on the cover)
Syd of Valis-CIB-$6 (I had never seen or heard of this game ever, so I picked it up. DP guide says $18! w00t!)
Super Smash TV-CIB-$4

Thrift Store:
Sonic & Knuckles-CIB-$2
Animaniacs-CIB-$2
Sonic Spinball-CIB*-$2
Sonic the Hedgehog (Not For Resale)-CIB*-$2
Sonic the Hedgehog 2-CIB*-$2

Also in the thrift was a v.1 genesis and 2 controlers, loose, for $14 and a toaster NES with all hookups, 2 controllers, and a Zapper for $10. The controllers had these cardboard-looking Nintendo Power covers on the front. I've never seen those before. The NES had a big sticker planets on the front. I left all that stuff to stay (mainly because I didn't bring much cash)

*For the *'d sonic games, each one had a poster folded up on the inside. The sonic 1 had just a big, fold out advertising poster, the sonic spinball had a Jurassic Park poster, and the Sonic 2 had a Batman Returns poster as well as a Sonic 2 poster. Did these come with the games? (because they're not in my other copies of those games) The backside of the posters are filled with advertisements for Sega CD, GameGear, and games. Werd.

One last thought: they lady at the thrift said some other guy had come in and bought a ton of Genesis games v_v Well, at least that guy didn't get my posters :P

My finds at the local dirt mall.

SNES
Sim City CIB - $7

NES (all loose)
Athena - $3
Double Dragon 2 - $3
Gunsmoke - $3
Dragon Spirit - #2.50
RC Pro Am - $2.50
Mike Tyson Punch Out (!) - $2.50

And they all were in rather good condition and started up right away (except for Athena, which was the cleanest of the bunch but required a lot of fiddling with to even get to run)
