...although it's being played with composite cables, why is the picture as fuzzy as if I was using a bad RF switch on my NES? composite coming from the originals on the NES are far better looking than remake on composite! Otherwise, this is neato, though they removed glitches from the originals (like the trick of getting Rush Jet unearned after getting the Shadow Blade in MM3).

It's probably because they decided to run it with hi-res interlaced video, despite the fact the original game only uses half the scanlines. And thus it looks like crap.

I rented that game a while back, and it looked fine to me.

Got it on PS2? Yeah, I know there's a BIG difference in picture between the PS2 and Gamecube versions. The GCN looks cleaner.

Yeah, I got the PS2 version. :) I could have picked either, but a backwards controller scheme and no extras scared me off LOL

Figures that everything on here that's "new" is an unlockable whereas everything else I own on the original respective consoles...

Ehh, it's really not so bad adjusting to the reverse controls on the Gamecube. All you gotta do is at least trying to beat any game on it, and you'll be fine from that point on. It reminds me when I used to suck at playing emulators with the keyboard. Then one day, I just took the plunge, and bam! I can beast on a keyboard and I'm like "wow! I don't need a fuckin' controller!"

UPDATE: I changed my video connection from the AV cables to the COMPONENT VIDEO cables and it no longer looks fuzzy at all. Very sharp and very clean. Absolutely no complaints this way... The composite output for the PS2 must suck pretty bad...

Or your cords suck really bad. ;)

They were the ones that came with the system LOL

On A/V gear, I won't touch these 'chicken wire' cables but for game systems, you don't have much choice. Either some overpriced crap like MONSTER (though it's still probably the best you can get), the official chicken wire cables, or some third party chicken wire cables that break easy.
