Tough one.

Based on our ocmplete list of Konami titles:
http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/listing.cmf?mfr=Konami

I'm going to estimate: 300.

Is there a particular reason you want to know? I have a number of Konami games, especially for my SNES, but I don't count games I have by publisher...and I'm too old to start doing that now.

I took this picture for the Tribal Island Contest, glad I can use it again:

I think a better question might be across how many platforms do you own Konami games for?

The Manimal
10-31-2004, 08:12 PM
a lot of NES and SNES ones...not sure otherwise.

Ed Oscuro
10-31-2004, 08:33 PM
Well, it's gonna be a lot as I'm well on the way to a complete collection of their Dracula games, but here goes whatever I can think of:

FC FDS:
Akumajo Dracula
...? Drawing a blank if there's anything else I own for the platform currently by Konami. O: a shame as I own two ads for their FDS games Meikyuu Jiin Dababa and Final Command (Jackal)!
Twinbee disk/manual

MSX 2:

Akuamjo Dracula cart, loose
Contra, complete and in pretty good shape
(very slim pickin's, I know! Want Snatcher, both MG games, and Antarctic Adventure. Knightmare and that old sidescrolling Tower of Druaga-style game...name eludes me for the moment, I'll remember it though)

FC:
Akumajo Densetsu cart, loose
Akumajo Densetsu complete
Akuamjo Dracula '93 relrelease
Contra cart, loose
Getsu Fuu Ma Den (had a bit of a revelation re-reading this (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42063) topic: could the "month" Lord C. came up with in the kanji be related to the monthly cycle of the "moon" that's usually translated to? Konami was big on puns after all), missing manual + fonecard on this one. :( First FC cart I ever owned!

NES:
Castlevania (complete, others are loose)
Jackal
BAYOU BIRRY (saw Mad City go for $45 last night/complete on eBay from a seller I'm buying some other stuff from, would've bought it but...)
Life Force
I'm sure there's more, but I don't recall!

Game Boy/Advance:
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
Operation C
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
...something else? :o

SFC:
Akumajo Dracula '91 (sealed)
Akumajo Dracula XX (sealed...this is pretty stupid, gonna buy the games loose or complete some time though)
There's more? I think so.

SNES:
Legend of Mystical Ninja/complete
Super Castlevania 4 PAL European/komplett

Megado Live (uh...Mega Drive):
Contra The Hard Corps MINTY AND FRESH (LIKE MY POSTS! :P)
Rocket Knight Adventures (very good shape/complete, almost "mint," whatever that is)

PC Engine:
2x Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (one sealed, one complete w/o Obi)

PC:
Super C

x68000:
A-Jax
2x Gradius
2x Parodius
2x Twinbee
2x Akumajo Dracula
Quarth
Namachuukei 68 ("Live Broadcast 68," RA 956, 9,800 yen at release)
more?

PlayStation:
I used to own Metal Gear Solid AND the guide you could buy for it with the sealed section! Then I lent it to somebody and was disgusted with the condition it came back in so I traded it away for the equivalent parts...in Tomb Raider 3 stuff! ARGH!
Akumajo Dracula X: NitM (SotN Japanese) PlayStation The Best copy (ugh!)
Castlevania Chronicles Japanese/sealed (wish I'd bought the US version when it was fairly new still! Oh well...don't really need either of these versions myself :P)
Metal Gear Solid PlayStation Books version (so here I've listed two types of PlayStation game to avoid! Doesn't look really bad at all, but it's not the original.)

...OK, not so many as I thought, but maybe I've forgotten some :P

Ed Oscuro
10-31-2004, 08:40 PM
short update...

I'm SHOCK AND AWE'D that I don't recall any more SFC games...oh well!

I also have a sealed copy of the Snatcher Pilot Disc for PC-Engine...darned sealed stuff! :P

For the N64 I own a mostly complete (no manual) copy of Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. I have a copy of Castlevania N64 I can play - officially it's not mine though ;P

Add: Blades of Steel US NES

Dangerboy
10-31-2004, 08:43 PM
PlayStation US: All of them.
Nintedno US: All of them.
And quite a few others acoss the other platforms.

can anyone back us up on this one,i swear there was a thread forever ago about how in japan they never seal the games.i know it was mentioned over here
:http://www.digitpress.com/index2.htm
there must be some experts around these parts on japanese games.

My copy of Super Metroid appears to have never been sealed...in any case, it's mint through and through with the cartridge in a bag.

For the two sealed games I mentioned, there's a shrink seal going all around the thin edges except for the bottom. They're slightly junky looking seals, not exactly straight lines across. So who knows.

In any case, the copies look as if they've had that wrap on for quite a while, and there's some corner wear on Akumajo Dracula (IV) with corners and such, which seems consistent for being in shrink (if it was out of shrink, I'd expect it to have lots of edge wear).

They also didn't cost me much, either - $45 and $6X for Dracula XX if memory serves...actually less for Dracula XX than it's been selling on eBay sometimes.

Got them out of Hong Kong, so take that as you will.

I'd like more information on this myself.

8-) I got Super Castlevania IV factory sealed at
ebay which cost about $45. 8-)

Also got The Legend of Zelda: A Link to a Past
factory sealed as well for $60 at ebay. LOL

But i opened them up and played them. So now
there in 'mint condition' :)

I like buying factory sealed stuff. 8-)
