Omg, this game is so gonna own.

The intro alone is just amazing!

The way the game throws you straight into the online world is the best I have ever seen, it's seemless and like entering a single player game only online. No mind numbing tutorials, you feel like you have freedom to go and do whatever you like.

Combat is real-time/turn based, and items have durability like in diablo.

The game is very intuitive and not complicated much at all. So far I would say if you can get this, get it now!

This is the sign-up page:

http://www.fileplanet.com/subscribe/wow/ntm_up.shtml

Just sign up at $7.90 to fileplanet for one month and cancel as soon as you register so charges don't reaccure.

Playing World of Warcraft is free right now, and you don't have to have a credit card at all to play it! Just sign up for at least a month of fileplanet and they will email you a free key, and you will have access to download the game.

The characters you play in this final stress beta, and the next beta will be able to be carried over to the real game when it comes out so this is a chance to get ahead of the game without even having to pay!

It's an awesome deal just make sure you have a good enough computer. :P

The final stress test beta is not free, read my post above.

Also there are no monthly costs to WOW at the moment. This is a chance to play it for free, minus the fileplanet montly one time charge that is.

This game is just badass.

Somehow Blizzard has found a way to include the best of every mmorpg every made and crammed it all into this game, but that's not it they've also managed to make a real living breathing persistant online world.

Just a few things I love so far:

1.) No load times. You can walk forever and the game never has to load unless you cross contienents then its done with a map and doesn't even seem like it's loading.

Walk to a town learn how to fish, go fish on a huge pier, jump off the enormous pier, then go swimming, come back up and board a porting ship, all in beautiful fluid non-interrupted transition.

2.) Interaction with other players. Duel anywhere, invite people to join anywhere, inspect the person and see everything they are wearing or trade right there on the spot.

3.) When you die, yes I said when you "Die". You become a ghost. You lose nothing if you find your dead body in the spectral plain, or if you decide to not go back to your body have the angel ressurect you but you lose experience. You don't lose items, but time or experience. Plus it's just damn cool.

4.) In game gamehelpers. Having a problem, just mail a helper.

5.) The combat. Real time with turn based elements, free movement without a limited area.

6.) User interface. I one word "amazing". The amount of things you can edit to your liking is awesome! Best interface ever!

I could go on with other elements, but those are the basic things i love so far. I have no doubts this game has some awesome surprises, and many cool things in store. I can see myself playing this game for years to come cause of how huge and how many abilities to learn there are.

If I had one complaint it would be that there aren't enough objects to interact with, but that's a minor complaint.

People I kid you not! This is the MMORPG everyone has been waiting for! It's "so far" exactly what i've always expected but never received till now. This game is gonna change the industry!

Its funny, I somehow always pictured Blizzard delivering a MMORPG of this caliber to their fans...[/url]

It's a little to whimpy though.. It's good for people who only want to play for 6 months and be done with it. Leveling a character to 20 is like getting to level 6 on the old EQ system.

I like the death system, but I like the EQ2 system as well. WoW is an MMORPG for people who liked PSO not EQ. It's a very small world but that world is never boring until later.

I think it's perfect because you won't be playing the game after 5 years like EQ, it's a 6 month to 1 year pay game.

I just tried it, and damn it's sweet. I highly recommend it so far... now, what's all this about only getting to lvl 20... is that a beta only restriction or is that the cap to the game period?

Well i'm not sure of what all you speak, but I can't see this game going without updates patches, and expansion packs. Regardless i'm enjoying and i'm completely engulfed in it at the moment. The rabbit hole goes very deep in this game, literally!

AdamG i need a partner! I was playing with a kid earlier and together we were kicking some major ass, but he had to go to bed for school. Lets team up! Pm me, or put me on friends list on game my username on there is "Kingbiscuit".

Another thing I love is that when someone logs off they stay in your party till they decide to leave.

This game is only getting better, it's gaming mana, oh yeah. :D

... sorry.

I'm Archan but I think you can only hook up on the same server. What test server are you on?

I'm damn near close to a lvl. 6 Warlock Undead... she's kicking ass I might say. I'm rather impressed with this.

Nevermind you picked the horde. From what i've read we can't play together.

I'm level 5 Nite Elf/Hunter, on world 6 regardless, just add me in the game and message me.

Btw, what the hell is that red x?

Edit: It seems it doesn't matter what class i picked as you can't take your character from realm to realm anyway. Looks like i'm stuck on server 6 forever unless i create a new character for another realm. Bummer.

I already have EQ2 pre-ordered, so I'll have to pass.

Honestly, the only reason I chose EQ2 over WoW is due to Blizzards online track record. Have you ever played an online blizzard game were someone WASN'T cheating? It's one thing with their other games, but in a MMORPG (diablo doesn't count) cheating is MUCH more serious.

less than 24 hours in and I'm a lvl 9 Undead Warlock... jesus god this game eats your soul and makes you love it.

This is the first time I've been able to level in a MMO easily, however once the game requires more grouping, we'll see how well I do.

I do like the tailoring system, I've been having tons of fun making my own armor for free.

You will see the flaw in the game when you hit level 30 or so.. there just isn't any high level content yet.

Well, this is a beta.. I wouldn't expect it to be a fully mapped and detailed game until a bit after release...

and frankly, I've never GOTTEN to lvl 30 in any MMO to date so... no worries yet, ha ha!

I'm gonna wait for the open beta. I can't get the stress test due to fileplanet's insane charging system.

Sounds pretty cool. I'd play it if I had money and nothing to do for a year. Although I'd robably get really fat. LOL

So what's the word on StarCraft: Ghost that Blizzard is putting out?

This IS a big problem. This is one of the MAIN reasons that AC2 is doing so badly. I got 5 characters onto Linvak Tukal within a month or two I think. If I remember right, that's over level 30? Then it was just a SMALL matter of time before they ALL became proficient in soloing everything on linvak, INCLUDING Group monsters.

Nothing else to do after that.

Well ya know what it's a helluva lot funner.

Everything about this game is enjoyable. Nothing gonna change that. This game has more spirit than any current crop MMORPG.

I'm all about gameplay and this game has it big time. I'm not really sure about you EQ1 comment, but this game is beautiful and if you don't think it is you obviously haven't played it.
