C'mon... Dave Attell is the announcer, it's on XBOX Live... someone else has to have it!

I just got my copy yesterday and haven't had too much time with it though I did play a couple rounds. Who the heck is Dave Attell anyway? He's okay but I preferred the original announcer who I thought sounded a bit like Jim Carrey. I found the music kind of annoying, too. I'll have to use my own from now on...

Hmmm, isn't it $19.99 or something? I may pick it up if it's cheap and supports 4 players, though I'm still pretty hooked on Links 2004. Tiger Woods blew it by limiting Live play to two players.

Yes, it costs $20 and you can play up to 4 players including online play.

It plays sorta similar to Links but it feels somewhat rougher. People I've played with complained mainly about the putting control porblems. But overall, it's alright.

Rogmeister - Dave Attell is the guy who does the show "Insomniac" on comedy central, he's also one of my favorite stand up comedians. I nearly crapped myself when I realized who it was.

Dave Attell is funny, but not as good as Chappelle.
The original announcer is WAY better than Attell. His name was Steve Carrell. He is, or at least was on The Daily Show.
I'd rather play a fantasy golf game with an announcer I like. Maybe one day I'll get OG2. But I'll miss the good announcer.

My one problem with the game is one I have with similar games...too much stuff (courses, golfers) are locked...if I buy the game, I feel I should have the right to use whichever players I want and whichever courses I want without having to reach certain goals to do that. We're not all super-great players. Without cheat codes, some of us may never unlock everything...

Dave Attell is in it???? I'm totally picking this up then. I'm a huge fan of his. Got both his Insomniac dvd's and his stand-up cd. Very funny man.
How does the gameplay compare to the first Outlaw Golf? I played that 9 Holes Of X-Mas demo and thought it reeked. Did they improve the gameplay for 2 or is it basically the same?

It seems about the same to me...

9 Holes of Xmas is NOT the original OG. The Xmas version SUCKED in comparison. You have to play the actual original game to be able to form an opinion on it.
The Xmas one was one course and half the amount of holes. TI thought the course actually sucked. The ones in the actual game were awesome. A train bridge through the course. Buildings and highways. The game rocked. But Xmas just plain sucked and I only have it to be complete.

Yeah, but the gameplay in 9 Holes was exactly the same as in OG1, right? Thats what I was most concerned with. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't hit the damn ball straight in 9 Holes. I just assumed OG1 would play the same way.

Yeah, it was a bit tricky to get good swings in OG1. It's much easier to control in OG2 now, like Links. But as to what will happen to the ball when it hits the ground...that's another story.
