Attention DP Wire subscribers using Gmail!

We've discovered that Gmail really doesn't like the Wire. For some reason, the issues may be cut off about half way through. :/

If you are subscribed to the Wire with a Gmail account, we recommend that you subscribe with a different email address to ensure you get the entire issue.

If you need a copy of the last issue of the Wire, email me at DPWire@digitpress.com from your Gmail account you subscribed with, giving me the email address at which you would like me to send it to. Please note: This does not change your subscription address though. You'll have to re-register on your own.

If you are requesting the last issue, it is important that you do not delete your old account until you get a response from me. I need to check the subscription date on the account to ensure that you are eligible to receive it (which is why I need you to send the email from your Gmail account).

Make sure you report this problem to Gmail as well. Hopefully it will be fixed in the future.

I couldn't get my gmail account to display the backgrounds, colors, etc of the wire...it just looked like a text file when I forwarded it from my hotmail account.

I believe that when you forward it as inline text (as opposed to an attachment) it will just be text. Perhaps that's what happened?

Gmail does have a problem with some of the styles used in the Wire, such as link colors and exterior background color. I've tried to compensate for problems as best I can when I learn about them (which is why it's important to let me know if it's not showing up right), but I don't think there's anything I can do about Gmail deciding not to show the whole message.
