I joined Survey Spot because I AM HANDICAPPED. In the head, that is. I was sweeping through my "junk mail" e-mail folder and found a message entitled "Tell us what you think about video games". Being a big sucker, I followed the link, signed in, and got down to it. The first thing it did was ask me if I have ever played a bunch of outrageous video games like GTA: Vice City and True Crime: Streets of LA. I forget what the other ones were. So I say "no" for each of them, because I haven't gotten around to it, and because outrageous, proactive video games where you act like a total hardass aren't my main line. Unless I'm piloting a giant robot with guns, that is.

So I tell them that I have never, ever played GTA or True Crime, although I allowed that I've heard of them. So the thing then starts grilling me in depth about my impressions of True Crime, and what I like about it, and what movie True Crime would be if it was a movie, and what kind of alcoholic beverage True Crime would be if it was an alcoholic beverage (I guessed Olde English 800), and so forth. If it gave me room to type an answer, I reminded them that I've never played the game. If it asked me what color True Crime would be if it were a color, I picked "fuschia" if it was available.

In short, a bunch of dumb shit. Try it here if you want to drop 6 IQ points:

If it makes you join before you can take the survey, and you do join, well, good luck.

BLARGH, what a terrible site! I couldn't even get past the first page! You know, the one where you have to give them your e-mail address to join?

;) :P LOL

I've made $20 off survey spot surveys so they aren't all bad. I only fill them out though if the e-mail I receive specifically says "received $5 for this survey". I never do the ones for sweepstakes entries.
