Rarity of PC Engine Valis Visual Collection sealed NEW ???

Hi

I've heard this is rather rare or hard to find PC Engine title.
I've seen few but never seen one still sealed brand new condition till recently. I'm wondering what'll be the value of this one then?

See, sealed stuff is so subjective compared to used. It's listed as a $65/R7 in the guide, and I've never seen one in person...only seen it for sale a few times. I'd say it's a safe bet that it's worth a solid $80-90 sealed. Sealed PCE stuff doesn't go as high as sealed domestic games. There's just very little demand, and VVC is an obscure title. I'll give you an example. About 8 months ago, I FINALLY found someone with a copy of Kaze Kiri Ninja for PCE for sale. A sealed copy. I contacted me and he said he'd had trouble selling it and asked me if I wanted it for $75, which I took it for, then opened it upon receiving it :) Meanwhile, Kaze Kiri often sells for the same price used with no spine as I paid for it sealed. The demand is so random that the shrink doesn't mean anything. On the other hand, a couple years ago I sold a sealed Steam Hearts for PCE for $300 US.

Ultimately, if I had to guess, I'd say it would raise the value...but not double it or anything crazy.

I once had three PC Engine Steamhearts - and to my stupidity sold two to mates of mine for a lot less than what you sold yours... :( At leaset I was able to source Shiawaseusagi series with that fund... :p Only two more titles to go in order to complete my collection. Heh...


I'm going to get the title before the seller changes his mind. :p

I sold my sealed Shiawase Usagis for like $120 each too...but those games are exceedingly rare sealed or unsealed, and I only had a handful of em. I'm kinda wishing I didn't sell my 2 copies of Hi Leg Fantasy for only $80 each tho...I've seen em go MUCH higher.

yea Hi-Leg Fantasy and Crazy Hospital are on my want list for a long time...
still haven't seen the price I'm willing to pay for... :(

I've seen it used a couple of times for as cheap as $15.00. I also saw a sealed one a few years back for about $50.00 to $60.00. I really don't see the value in it increasing. It used to go for a pretty penny some years ago but has dropped dramatically like most PC Engine stuff. I say don't pay more than maybe $60.00 for a factory sealed one.
