I got emulators and rom images for several Japanese systems including: X6800/PC 88/ PC98 / Shap X1/ PC 6001/ FM Towns / FM 77, a complete package on 2 CD's called JCEC Collection, I was drawn in by the screenshots and claims of some great emulated games however I've yet to get any running. Anyone have any experience on this? Please share your thoughts, opinions and comments............................

Well the FM Town only has one emulator which is UNZ. Almost all games are on CD so I'm pretty sure you don't have very many. There's only about 25 games or so that aren't Japanese heavy or Hentai. It's only really exclusive games are Tetusjin Ou, Rainbow Towns, and Raxbander.

X68000 and MSX probably have the best selection of software regardless of your tastes. For X68000 I would use Win68XHi and if you have any problems with a particular games try using XM7. mSX also has a very good library. I know you didn't mention the MSX but I'm pretty sure there is some MSX stuff on one of the CDs. Without knowing your tastes I really can't recommend games too easy. I'd use Blue MSX for MSX emulation.
