I receive GMR and Game Informer magazine monthly. My Nintendo Power subscription just ran out which is fine with me. I could not stand reading the questions people would send in and I felt the game reviews were skewed in favor of anything Nintendo published.
For some reason Game Informer stopped coming after the OCT issue, but the label says I am good until March 2006. So I have to call them and find out why they stopped sending.

Game Informer only because you get it when you sign up for the gamestop card thing. I used to get PSM for a long time.

OXM says I can resubscribe now for only $29.95 yet one can get a subscription using a card from within the mag for $24.95. No extra gimmicks with the former (I checked). How's that work?

For all of you who are in doubt renewing NP subscriptions: with a renewal every year you get a free strategy guide worth $15. If you buy at least one NP guide a year anyway, a subscription is a good deal. (I have two subscriptions since 1990)

That's what I do. Why subscribe for two years to save $4 when every year you can just get a new "free gift" of a strategy guide. This year I got "Links Awakening Players Guide" :)

Funny thing is, if you go to the magazine's web site and check out their renewal page (https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/IM/BOX/BOX_Subpage_Renewal.jsp?cds_page_id=10887&id=1099684071995&lsid=43101346349012308&vid=4&cds_mag_code=BOX) you'll see it's offering a renewal price of $24.95.
Situation of one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing? Possibly. :D

I don't own any of the current consoles, and I dunno where to subscribe to any of the retro gamer mags, so that's all I read. Way too much FPS crap in it though!

Besides the ones I subscribe to, I will pick up the occasional mag at my local bookstore as well. This week, for instance, I picked up copies of PSM (since it had a DVD with footage of Rumble Roses in it), Nintendo Power and a relatively new gaming magazine called Surge.
Anyone got any links for cheap subscriptions? :D

Alot of free shitty ones. Namely XBN,pc world,pc guide, gamepro and I few others i can't remember off the top of my head. I also get GI and GMR, but I payed the 10 dollers for the subscription to them.

Nintendo Official Magazine UK (for the free gifts mainly)
It doesn't seem to me to be as sicophantic as Nintendo Power - they give Ninty a pretty hard time regarding their PR and advertising etc!

It's a really good wee read with lots of memory jogging articles and even more bits and pieces I was too young to understand the first time round. :)
